Only a short walk to the beach and when you’re tired of the beach and sand, relax with a splash in the pool right outside your front door. Topsail Island: Topsail Island (pronounced “Topsul”) is one of the best-kept secrets among East Coast beaches. Located along North Carolina’s southern outerbanks, Topsail Island is a 26 mile long barrier island of spacious sandy beaches and tranquil maritime forests. It’s hard to discover such a place today as friendly and casual, with such pristine sand and surf, water sports, recreation, fine dining and shopping adventures. This is Topsail Island located midway between Wilmington, to the south and Jacksonville, to the north. The island consists of three towns, North Topsail Beach, Surf City, and Topsail Beach. The two mainland towns of Sneads Ferry and Holly Ridge complete the section known as the Greater Topsail Area. Two bridges allow access to the island, a landmark swing bridge on NC Route 50 to Surf City, or by NC Route 210 over a high-rise bridge nearer to North Topsail Beach. Seaside Village delightful

We rented this property for two weeks at the end of August and will plan to come back to Seaside Village again ... just not this house. The porch furniture was rusted along with wicker rockers that flaked white paint all over. There were also little black ants coming out of an outlet in the kitchen on some days. The furnishings in the house were a bit tired and the floors had not been mopped. The kitchen was pretty well equipped but lacked some dishes and glass ware.
The Seaside Village is wonderful; quiet, clean, has a well maintained pool, and really nice neighbors both weeks. The North Topsail beach was PERFECT! We found the area restaurants casual, friendly, with good food. This is really a great place to vacation.
Recommended for:  Age 55+
Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments. We have discussed your concerns with the owners of the property. The exterminator sprayed for the ants; the owners just replaced the outdoor furniture, added foam pads to the mattresses and added some dishes in the kitchen. If we had known the floors were not mopped, we most certainly would have sent the cleaners back to the house to take care of this for you. Next time, please do not hesitate to call about the cleaning as soon as you check-in. Thanks again for taking the time to post your review.
