Located in walking distance to shopping, restaurants and banks this charming home features all white tile floors, high ceilings, new double pane windows and new roof. Great kitchen with plenty of counter space and cabinets furbished with large refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, stove, oven and built in microwave. All small appliances such as cafe maker, toaster, blender and dishes pots & pans etc. are included. Also linen and towels. Large swimming pool and 8 person jacuzzi make your vacation enjoyable. You may also sit on the shaded canal deck with your fishing line or enjoy the outdoor fire place on cool nights. Scenic bike trails winding alongside the Charlotte Harbor or leading down to the near by Port Charlotte Beach Complex which is only about 1 mi. away. Fine waterside Dining as well as Tennis courts, Fishing piers, volleyball and basketball play grounds are all within a few minutes from the house. To learn more about our History, visit the Historical Museum close by.

There is an outside fireplace. The pool side area of the house has the same blue/white awnings as you see on the front of the house. The back yard is lusciously landscaped with Sub-tropical plants and a huge Mango tree. There is also a Garden shed for extra storage.

Shopping, Live Music, Restaurants . Ponce De Leon Park with board walks for Birdwatchers and Nature Lovers. Gilcrest Park with Tennis courts and Play grounds - all in Punta Gorda. In Port Charlotte visit the Cultural Center, Town Center Mall, 3 Libraries and lots of Restaurants. Also visit Fort Myers or Sarasota, both only about 1/2 hour away.

Honeymoon

We stayed here for our honeymoon and had a great time! An electrician came the first day for 6 hours but after that we were alone and enjoyed all aspects of the house. The kitchen was great and had everything we needed as far as cooking utensils.There was a washer and dryer that made being there a week easy. The pool was great but the ducks really didnt like sharing. The beach was very close and there was everything literally right around the corner!! We really enjoyed the hot tub. Christa, the owner, was so sweet and very easy to work with and I would love to go back and stay there again.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: This was not the first "honeymoon" couple.... the house and backyard setting is very private and shielded from neighbors ,so therefor it really makes a wonderful "honeymoon suite"...
PS: the electrician was there because the couple had cancelled first ( that's when I called for the electrician) but then they decided to come. With their permission I did keep the electrician on appointment which was a good thing, because we discoverd an additional item that needed attention....I am avoiding any repairs ( large or small) during times when my guests are in. Thank you for understanding.

Our return to port charlotte May 2009

My wife and i stayed at" Christas" house in Gardner Drive in May last year for a week.We enjoyed it so much we stayed in May for two weeks this year and brought with us my wifes sister Jenny. Christa is such a warm and cheerful lady who makes you feel very welcome to her house .
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Families with Teenagers, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway

charming rental home

My family rented this charming rental property while visiting family in Florida, and going on college visits with my son.
The owner was professional, courteous, and wonderful to work with. The home was everything, and more, that it was advertised to be. It had everything we could possibly need included, as well as a lovely pool and spa. The furniture was comfortable, and while the one thing I usually worry while away from home, is how comfortable the bed will be,these beds were extremely comfortable and I slept great! The washer and dryer were a plus, and everything was in great working order. The tv's in each bedroom were welcomed by my husband and 17 year old son, as they like to fall asleep watching tv at night. The house was immaculately clean and welcoming. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a rental in this area.

Spent a very relaxing few days at the home in November. The experience was a good one, but there was a maintinance man there pretty much the whole time. The house was clean, and overall we were able to just unwind...
