Mount Holly holiday chalet

The title is probably the best compliment I could give. We shared this house with another family over MLK '08 weekend and we are going back for Presidents Day '08. There were 4 adults and 4 kids - ages 5 to 15. The house sleeps 8 but some will need to be small. We used an air mattress for one of the kids. I would say 6 adults max.

Although an older property, it was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen works well with a bunch of people and sitting at the table felt like you were in the woods. There's only 1 TV so expect some withdrawl symptoms from kids, but they kept busy playing in the snow outside. The wood stove cranks out heat.

Location was great being north of the Jackson Gore entrance. We used this lodge as our base camp for the bussiest day in the history of Okemo (most tickets sold) and it worked very well. The parking lot is far but use the drop off for everyone else, boot up at the car and hop the shuttle. They do it well.

Getting out of this parking lot and turning north was never a problem. Trying to go to Ludlow after skiing was difficult.

The owner is great to work with.
