Casa Callejon Amaro is a beautifully reformed patio house divided into four apartments, situated off a lovely no through road in the historic Old Town of Vejer de la Frontera. Close to all of Vejer's attractions, restaurants, bars and shops, the house also boasts a large sun terrace and patio. For large groups, the property can be rented in its entirety. The house is also very close to beautiful beaches and countryside.

Situated in the middle of the old town and close to all the facilities and amenities, the house is divided into comfortable one, two and three bedroom apartments. It has a large sun terrace and communal salon area at the top of the house where you can relax and enjoy the sun. We accept bookings with a minimum of two-nights stay. Vejer sits on top of a hill between Cadiz and Tarifa on the Southern coast of Spain. It became a national monument in 1978 and still retains its original charm and history and exists within one of the last remaining unspoilt coastal regions of Southern Spain. Its Moorish ancestry is evident within the old part of the town, where the locals still live in traditional patio houses, surrounded by castle walls. It is not as busy as the cities of Seville and Cadiz and some of the larger towns in the area and still gives the impression of peaceful, Andalucian life. It is also within easy reach of beautiful beaches and fantastic cities and a range of sporting/sightseeing opportunities. Within the steeped, cobbled streets of the old town you will find many interesting shops, restaurants and bars - all in keeping with the local style of historic, whitewashed buildings.

'Well it couldn't have been better! The suite was excellent - very comfortable and so well equipped it was like being at home, only better! I think we had the best of all possible worlds - a beautiful place to stay, a beautiful town and wonderful places to visit.
Thank you for a marvellous time and congratulations on achieving exactly the right balance - a warm and practical welcome but then left to get on with it unless help needed.'

This was the perfect place to stay for a rare weekend away without the kids. The appartment we rented is beautiful and very comfortable. Even though Vejer has an a very good selection of restaurants we decided to ' take out' and eat on the roof terrace - bliss! The location is very central, walking distance to restaurants and there's parking very close by + very clear directions. There's also a very generous selection of drinks for free + dvd's (even though we don't drink, it's the thought that counts :-) )
The appartment was clean and had good facilities. The owner had cheerfully left her dining party for the night to meet us in spite of our late arrival. We heartily recommend this property.

Great accommodation in a great town

This is the second year that a group of us has rented all four apartments for a week. And hopefully it won’t be the last. Everyone – newbies and veterans – were delighted with the accommodation. The apartments are all well looked-after and have everything you need for a perfect, relaxing holiday in the beautiful hilltop town of Vejer. The location, right in the heart of the old town, means that all the cafes, bars, restaurants and shops you need are just a short walk away. But once you’re behind that solid, old wooden door that opens on to the apartments’ private courtyard you are in your own world. That’s the beauty of Casa Callejon Amaro, the apartments allow you to have the holiday you want – whether that’s a quiet, get-away-from-it-all break for two, or a more social get-together for a larger group, like we did. Finally, thanks to Penny and Jeremy for their warm welcome and practical, efficient advice that ensured our stay went without a hitch. We’ll be back.

A super time!

We cannot recommend the 2 bedroomed suite we stayed in more highly. It was very comfortable, beautifully decorated, scrupulously clean and peaceful. The owners were extremely helpful and gave us all the advice we needed, including recommendations for some excellent restaurants. Vejer is a delightful old Spanish town and the nearby beaches are unspoilt. Cadiz, Jerez and Seville are not far away and deserve a visit. We also enjoyed a morning shopping in Chiclana. We will be recommending Casa Callejon Amaro to all our friends and will definitely return ourselves.
