Newly built, luxury vacation home on 15 acres of wooded land fronting on Jordan Bay. Lovely, sandy, private beach where you will enjoy the gentle waters of Jordan Bay, perfect for swimmers of all ages. On the upper level of this designer cottage there are two lovely bedrooms with queen-size beds, garden doors to the spacious deck, and gorgeous views of Jordan Bay. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom, one accessible for a disabled guest. You will love the fully equipped, sparkling kitchen with glass-top stove, 18-cubic-foot refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave oven, stylish dishes, quality pots and pans. A cheery dining area that seats six comfortably is adjacent. The gracious living area with wood stove, comfortable sofa and lounge chairs, entertainment center with satellite TV and VCR welcomes you.

The family room on the lower lever doubles as a third bedroom, with views of flowers and Jordan Bay. Three sofa beds sleep up to four comfortably. An entertainment center with satellite TV, VCR, as well as a computer with Internet access adds to the enjoyment. There is also a good selection of books, games, and puzzles. Also on the lower level is a bathroom with shower, a clothes closet, and a convenient laundry room with washer, dryer, sink, ironing board, and steam iron. The outside garden room with handsome stone flooring, patio furniture, electric barbecue, and flowers everywhere, will enchant you. The wraparound deck makes the cottage accessible to a disabled guest. Welcome!

Home - exceeded our expectations.
Property - beautiful views, lovely landscaping, conveniently located, yet wonderfully private.
Owners - available and very respectful of renters. Excellent communication with regard to transactions.
Location - if you enjoy the history of Nova Scotia, you will be thoroughly pleased. Definitely visit the Shelburne County Museum and the Dory Museum!
With 2 teenaged kids, my husband and I thought for sure they would be begging to go home after the first few days. They absolutely loved their "space" and being able to "hang out" on their own. My daughter loves to read, and there were plenty of books to choose from. My son was able to "connect" with his buddies on the computer provided. Even though it was "only dial up" they seemed to enjoy the slower pace and we were able to reconnect with each other without the distractions from the world. The landscaping is so peaceful and my husband and son even saw 2 seals in the bay while they were kayaking!
Another perk: since the airlines only allow for one check on bag and one carry on, I really appreciated the washer/dryer! When we got home, I didn't have to become Laundry Queen for the next 3 days! Yippee!!!!
I give this vacation rental home a 5 out of 5.
