Great getaway spot yet close to major mall and large city attractions.

If your are looking for a laid back vacation with all the amenities of home, you have found it. This quaint little village is far enough north to be restful but only a short drive to the many activities the Thumb of Michigan offers. Summers offer art shows, festivals, fairs, fishing tournaments, antiquing, shopping, Barn Theater, historical museum, lighthouse and more. Don't forget the 100 feet of lake-frontage to enjoy too. Winter is beautiful as you watch the many changes the ice in the water brings, relax in front of the fireplace, check out the surrounding areas.

Notes: The air conditioning is limited to master bedroom but there are fans in the home for comfort. There are limited beach toys for children. Would suggest bringing your own. The telephone is for local calls only. Recommend phone cards as occasionally cell phones do not work on the water. If need should arise, renters may use my fax machine and computer at my office a couple of blocks away.

18 hole gold course with restaurant/lounge within 3 miles of rental is very popular. You are only 15 minutes north of the village of Lexington which is loaded with charm also and has many summer activities for all ages. Add another 15 minutes and you are in Port Huron where you will find all the Big City luxuries if this is what you crave. No matter what your preference, we are sure there is something for everyone in our great little area.

Lovely Home for Relaxing by Lake Huron

We have rented this lovely beach front home in every season of the year. The house has three bedrooms which are spacious and great open space between the living/dining/kitchen areas. The property is well maintained and provides a cozy place to relax while watching the freighters go by. The proximity of the stores, restaurants, museum, harbor, and beach is a major plus. Summer time is definitely beach time with blueberry picking thrown in. In the spring we have enjoyed festivals and sea glass hunting. Fall color is gorgeous along the lakeshore and there are apples aplenty. In the winter, the cottage is a great place to curl up with a great book or movie and check out the ice built up along the shoreline. This is truly a four season rental.

Family Fun

Geoff and Heather carefully planned our family retreat a year ago and we were blessed that they did! This week has truly been a time that the kids (Evan and Abigail especially) will always want to talk about, and the parents (Geoff, Heather, Greg, and Hannah) and Grandparents (Mary, Thom, and Larry) will proudly display our fun photos!

Forced Family Fun-we called it-but really it was a week loaded with laughter, music, yummy foods, good finds, great walks, beautiful atmosphere and especially - TIME!

This little abode (which was pretty comfortable for 8 adults and 3 wee ones!) made the perfect location for an unforgetable vacation!
