This charming stone house is located in the medieval village of Seillans. Built in a typical Provencal style, the property has original wooden beams, windows and doors and thick stone walls, which ensure coolness throughout the hot summer months. The 4-storied house has a living space of approximately 160 square meters over 4 floors. A spiral staircase winds up from the entrance door in the kitchen to the 4th floor. It is spacious, light and very charming. The garden, facing south, is partly shaded with huge laurel trees and scented with lavender, jasmine and rosemary.

Seillans is classified among the 142 most beautiful villages in France. Set in spectacular, unspoilt scenery, this medieval village is nestling among the vineyards and olive groves in Provence. Although worn by the centuries Seillans has miraculously managed to retain all its mystery, authenticity and resplendent natural beauty. The village has a bar, a baker, a butcher, a pharmacy and a little supermarket in addition to the church, the school, the post office, the bank and the town hall with a tourist office. One hotel and 4 restaurants complete the ensemble. Seillans is perfectly situated to explore Nice (50 minutes) Cannes (25minutes) Frejus and St. Raphael (less than 25 minutes) and the magnificent Gorge du Verdon (45 minutes). Tennis, golf, hiking and riding are available in Seillans and nearby Fayence.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Arrivals are on Saturday afternoon after 4 pm and departures on Saturday morning before 10 am unless alternative arrangements are made. Guests will be met and shown the house by the local house keeper.

    Rental rate includes linen, towels (except beach towels), gas and end-of-stay cleaning. Electricity is included from May to September. At all other times electricity used to heat the house will be charged at cost.

    Payment can be made in different currencies. A deposit of 50% of the rental to be paid upon booking and the remainder no less than 4 weeks before the start of the rental period. A security deposit of $ 500 also needs to be payed before the rental starts. This will be returned as soon as the house keeper assures that all is well.

Notes: There is a little patio just outside the dining room with a round table and seating for 4. The shady terrace in the garden is furnished with a teak table and chairs and seats 8. The living room is on the second floor overlooking the garden and has French doors that provides access to the garden by old stone stairs. Next to the living room is a library overlooking the village and the hills behind. The kitchen and the bathroom are newly renovated.

This rental property is charming and the real positive is the Landlord. She made the experience all worth while. She is caring and makes you feel welcomed. The house is in great shape and the amenities are first class. Her property manager, Karen, is also friendly, helpful and efficient. High ratings for this property and suggest it without a doubt to anyone who wants to visit the south of France! There are three flights of steps, but safe but must be in good shape to enjoy the place.
