Imagine a week or two in our 19th century cape which sits looking out over fields to John’s Bay, just 3 miles from New Harbor, Maine. Recently renovated with updated plumbing, fresh paint throughout, new and tasteful furnishings and a totally new bathroom. Relaxing amidst aesthetic details of wide-plank floors, wood paneling and trim add to the charm of this easy-to-live-in home. The new sun room has been completed and the views of Pemaquid River are spectacular. The master bedroom is on the main level, along with a large eat-in kitchen and living room with a dining ell. Two bedrooms upstairs, with a connected small room that serves as a fourth bedroom or playroom makes this house flexible and comfortable. A new bathroom on the second floor will be completed by the summer of 2007. Public access to John’s Bay is within walking distance and nearby swimming is at Pemaquid Beach or the Bristol Mills swimming hole. Take the boat out to Monhegan Island from New Harbor!

Pemaquid Point is one of many peninsulas off the mid-coast of Maine. The quaint, historical town of Damriscota (where you can find Reny's, antique shops, and one of the few remaining soda fountains-drug stores in the country) is from where Pemaquid Point originates. Pemaquid Point is home to one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world as well as the location to several forts and original settlements, beaches, hiking trails, and water activities. Pemaquid is a little more laid back than its neighbors to the north and south. To the south is the Boothbay Harbor Region, where there is an aquarium as well as lots of shopping and night life. To the north is the Camden-Rockport region, home to many antique shops, more stores, and plenty of good restaurants. Views abound from wherever you are or to wherever you travel, whether you're driving or boating. You can enjoy many outdoor activities or sit back to read your favorite book on the beach or on the deck of this 19th c. cottage

Perfect Family Vacation Spot

We stayed in this simply lovely cape in July 2009. The property was clean and well cared for and very comfortable for our family with 3 small children, a babysitter, and 2 other friends. Nice yard for the children to run in, plenty of games and toys, spacious. Laurel and Luke were delightful owners and it was easy to get in touch with them while planning the vacation and when we were there. We loved Pemaquid beach - excellent family spot with a well groomed beach, toys/beach chairs/umbrellas to rent and snack bar too. Not too far for a day trip to Freeport for some outlet shopping. Spent some time strolling in Damariscotta too - sweet town. After a week, we only wished our vacation was longer! One of the best we've ever had. We hope to return in summer 2010.

Wonderful Vacation House

My family stayed at this house recently and had the most wonderful vacation. It is close to all the wonderful places in Pemaquid and Bristol. It has all the extra things you need when traveling with little ones and was large enough for everyone to have a bit of space. Very much recommed this house for a family vacation.

Beautiful House

We had a very nice time at the house in Pemaquid. It's very close to all of the Pemaquid attractions, and has a great view. The house is in very good condition, but still has all the charm of an older house. We would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to vacation in this region of Maine.
