Part of an Edwardian Country Club, with views of the sea from the kitchen and bedroom and with tennis courts (grass and hard courts), this bright, cheery, tastefully designed apartment, makes a welcome change to many seaside properties. Awarded 4 stars (Highly Commended) by the English Tourist Board. Large bright open plan kitchen and dining area opening onto living room. Decorated in Seaside colours, two minutes from the clean, pebbly beach in the ideal English village of Thorpeness.

Thorpeness was conceived some 130 years ago by Stuart Ogilvie and J.M. Barrie, author of Peter Pan, who wanted to create the perfect English seaside haven for families in the Colonies to get respite from the heat. The lovely village has a boating lake which leads into the glades of a mere - perfect for boating adventures and riverside picnics. You'll find only fishing boats on the beach as all seaside vulgarity is strictly forbidden! The pastel coloured fishing village of Aldeburgh is only one mile away. There are tennis courts (30 seconds from the apartment) and a golf course. This is the ideal place for those seeking fresh sea air, peace and rest and excellent food - from wonderful fresh fish trawled in daily to delicious local cheeses, hams and honey. Add to that a gorgeous, comfortable apartment and you have all the ingredients for a wonderful holiday.
