This is a lovely Bethany Proper townhouse with only a three-block walk to the beach; four blocks into this darling quiet town with plenty to do. The property has its own pool (and kids pool) as well as tennis courts less than a block away from the townhouse. The summertime trolley stops almost right outside the door for a quaint ride into town and back (for a quarter!). There are front and back decks and a full, closed garage. The one master suite on the second floor has a king-size bed and its own T.V. There are two other bedrooms and a bath on the second floor. The fourth bedroom (with its own TV) is on the first floor along with a half bath and lovely living room, newly furnished in 2007, with TV/DVD and wood-burning fireplace. The adjacent kitchen is roomy, light, and fully equipped. The dining room has new furniture as of 2008. Beach bikes are available for use in the garage along with beach chairs & other beach items. There is parking for two cars outside.

Nearest Beach: beach at 0.3 Miles
Lots of fun even in the cooler season of the year. Wood-burning fireplace. Great walks on the quiet, deserted beach. We are booking now for long weekends as well as fro Summer 2008. Bethany Beach is called the 'quiet resort'; It is a delightful town but, if you want bigger busier towns, Rehoboth, DE and Ocean City, MD are just a 20 minute drive away each for more dining, shopping, night life and recreation options. Bethany is buffered north and south by protected state land which is lovely untouched dunes.

Activities: There are multiple golf courses in the area as well as close by in Maryland (Bob is a big golfer and he can tell you more). Water parks and amusement parks for kids are available in Rehoboth, 15 minutes away (a bigger, noisier town). Some excellent restaurants are available in Bethany and many more in Ocean City and Rehoboth (both about 15 minutes away).

Boardwalk: Our Bethany Beach boardwalk is small but lovely and has places to eat and shop along it. There is also a central pavilion with summertime concerts and activities.

Other Activities: shopping, boating, miniature golf

This large townhouse was perfect for my family of 5. It was impeccably clean. There were more than enough bikes and beach chairs for all of us and a couple of guests who stopped by. The kitchen had all the appliances and utensils we could ever need. There was plenty of seating at the table. Bethany Beach is a great combination of quiet (for Mom & Dad) and activity (for the kids.) The beach is clean and close enough that we could go early, come back for lunch, and head down again later. The town is a short bike ride or walk and felt safe enough to let the kids wander to and around on their own. The town looked like the kind of place families come back to year after year. The more bustling towns of Rehoboth and Ocean City were nice to drive to and visit.

Loved the house and all the amenities

We stayed at the rental and enjoyed every minute. Everything we needed was there...beach chairs, beach bags, bikes, etc. Also the back deck provided alot of privacy and we spent many mornings and evenings there enjoying the two "pet squirrels" that would come to pick up the peanuts we set out for them. We would recommend the home to anyone, it was so comfortable and personalized, roomy and cheerful.The kids enjoyed it, as well as the adults, the pool was great...when you didn't feel like doing the beach . We did drive to the beach and most days just plugged the parking meter, well worth the $$ for the convenience. Although many of the guys would bike to the beach and lock the bikes up while in the sand. The trolley is great if you want to go into town, only a quarter, and quite enjoyable to just relax and watch the world go by.
