The coolest area of NYC. Goodbye Soho, East village, Chelsea & Williamsburg. 1 block from the East River(Manhattan directly across the river). 1 1/2 blocks to the subway. 4 stops to Manhattan. Organic/health food store 2 blocks away. Major shopping street 1 1/2 blocks away. Cheap car services pick you up at your door and deliver you to your destination in Manhattan. Safe friendly area (was predominately Polish, now cool creative people). Great restaurants in the immediate walking area and a cool friendly bar downstairs next door. EACH ADULT(21&OVER) GETS A FREE BEER OR GLASS OF WINE AT THE RESTAURANT OR BAR DOWNSTAIRS EVERY NIGHT!!!!! Zip code 11222

The condo is located at 68 Greenpoint Avenue, Brooklyn, 11222 between West and Franklin St. . Find it on mapquest or googlemap. It is one block from the East River. You will see Manhattan from the sidewalk right out the door. The Greenpoint stop on the subway(G train) is 1.5 blocks away. Manhattan is 4 stops away. There are also several car services(mini limousines) that will pick you up at the condo and drive you to manhattan 10-20 minutes away depending on where you are going. All taxis know where we are and can easily bring you back if you choose not to use the subway which is very conveinent.

  • The Master bedroom has a wall of mirrors and a Sony Trinitron TV with Directv satellite TV. The photos of the primary living room do not show the second new super long couch. Easily sleeps one on each couch(sometimes my kids friends have a sleep over and 4 sleep there). Very comfortable. Also there is a Large Sony Trinitron TV in the living room with Directv satellite TV.

Really Bad Place to Stay

I had a bad experience at this apartment. Landlord did not return the security deposit. I am still waiting for it. He refuses to return telephone calls. This was just the last in a string of bad experiences at this place.
Owner's Response: The check was returned by mail. I will get their proper address and send the deposit check again. I did return calls. Their "other" bad experience was that their Japanese artists that they rented the loft for locked themselves out.

Great place for a family to stay

Great place to stay, plenty of room, sunny spacious condo with access to the rooftop, plenty of beds. The master bed was probably one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Stayed here with my family and loved the Polish Brooklyn area, transportation was easy and close. Gettiing around by subway proved faster than hiring a limo to get into Manhatan. Fruit in the local fruit shop was very cheap especially compared to Manhattan standards. The tap in the bathroom did not work which was a bit of an inconvenience. Bar downstairs on friday night was very noisy till very late. Children's rooms were full of toys and clothes without much room to hang clothes or drawers to put clothes away......... not that my children know how to put clothes away anyway!! A couple of minor irritations but overall we enjoyed the location and the accomodation.
