The house sits on a third of an acre and has the following features: A/C, three bedrooms, loft, two baths, sleeps six to eight. Large Screened-in Porch measures 12 ft by 30 ft that connects to a deck that wraps around the house. For your convenience our home has a broad band wireless Internet access, high chair, portable crib, phone, iron/ironing board, alarm clocks, hair dryer, washer, dryer, gas BBQ grill and a fully equipped kitchen. Also, we provide bed linens and towels. For your entertainment pleasure, there are 4 TVs with cable plus, two VHS players, two DVD players, game cube, PlayStation 1, and Nintendo 64. Our entertainment library contains over 30 video game titles, over 100 DVD and VHS titles including over 50 Titles for children and 10 board games.

Perfect mountain setting

Our family stayed at Romer's retreat during Labor Day weekend. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. It was nice to have the baby equipment (pack n play and high chair) to use. We enjoyed the nature from the huge wrap around deck and enjoyed our meals in the screened in area (bug-free). The house is very close to Shawnee Mountain (where we enjoyed the Garlic festival) and Bushkill Falls. If traveling to this area again we will definitely stay here again. Thanks Steve for the great accomodations!

Nice place to stay

Great value. Our family of four stayed comfortably with plenty of room left over to sleep 4 more. Everything was as stated in the description. My kids, 5 and 8 years old, loved sleeping in the bunk beds and playing video games on the TV in the loft. My husband and I liked the screened deck and the beautiful location. Plenty of things like paper towels, toilet paper, pots and pans, necessary utensils were provided and we only had to go to the local supermarket to get our groceries.

Saw creek is great with lots of amenities. We had plenty to do with our children. Bushkill falls isn't far and the Camelbeach water park is only a half an hour away. If you like to ski, Shawnee is very close about 15 minutes from the location. When we visit again we plan on taking our kids to the go karts and paintball place right on 209 about 10 minutes away.

The owner was responsive and answered our questions providing all the information we needed about Saw Creek and getting the amenity passes.

I would recommend this property to anyone looking to get away and enjoy the beautiful pocono outdoors and relax.

Steve, thanks so much for letting us rent your home. The place was clean and very cozy. Steve was very accommodating and it was a pleasure renting from you.
All 8 of us had enough room (4 adults, 2 little kids and two babies). Loved your screened porch!

Bushkill, Pocoonos vacation

We had a great family weekend at the place. Though no 5 stars, the place was cosy. The beds were comfortable with clean bedsheets and plently of clean towels which was what mattered for us. Steve was prompt in sending the lease paperwork as well refunding our initial deposit later. The kicker was was a good collection of DVD's and and some video games(if you have older children), and jar full of sugar in case you forget to bring it like us. Please do bring a flashlight and ask for a map at the guard booth on entry in case you plan to arrive late. The complex is huge and finding the place in the dark may a challange if you do not have exact directions.

We stated at Romers Retreat in February 2009. We have a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 kids ages 10 to 14. The house was everything Steve promised it would be. The house was clean, close to Shawnee, and in a gated community. The home had plenty of TV's for the kids, and lots of games, video's, etc. that the kids really enjoyed. We plan to visit Romers Retreat again! Thanks Steve for letting us enjoy "Romers Retreat." Bob
