Our guest house sits on 8 acres among wild-life with the mid-wests best salmon and steelhead fishing outside your door. It is the perfect location for fishermen and families to explore West Michigan and the Mighty Muskegon River. Enjoy fishing, canoeing, tubing in your backyard. Shop the quaint shops of our downtown-only 2 miles away. Nearby is Lake Michigan, horse-back riding, North Country Trail, and Michigan Adventure Amusement/Waterpark. River Valley House has central air, full kitchen, (stocked with breakfast goodies), deck with grill, satellite TV, games and puzzles, movies for the kids, hot tub, outdoor fire pit and sand volleyball court. The 1200 square foot guest house is above our garage and shares our family property. Your entrance is private as is your deck area. Hot tub and fire pit on shared deck.

The Muskegon River runs through the heart of Newaygo. The area is also surrounded by wooded state land that contain streams, creeks and large lakes created from the dams. Newaygo is only 10 miles from Fremont (home of Gerber Baby Food Festival). Newaygo and Fremont have art and craft festivals, winter-fest, Autumn color tours, farm markets and other small town celebrations all year round.

What a great experience

The facilties were excellent. The servcie was top notch. What a pleasent suprise. We felt at home and the setting is breathe taking. We could not ask for more. If you are looking for a relaxing peaceful vacation look no further. The attenion to detail on facilties was surprising. This was the best value for the dollar we have experienced and we vacation and traval all over the country. The Muskegon River is a fishermans dream, the secluded setting without being far from town is great. Thank you for a great stay.

A fabulous stay

I am so glad we spent a week here. We are from Michigan orginally and now live in California. It was so very perfect and the owners are exceptionally respectful of your stay. They were a delight to chat with if you choose. Every ammenity you could possibly want. Lots of wildlife and the river is a stones throw away. Great for a family stay, lots of space and there are several towns within 20 mins to visit. This area is great for the dayhiker, fisherman, and the water sports enthusiast Glad we found it and we will most certainly will be coming back.

Hey Robin April here we stayed last october,and plan to do so hopefully this year as well. Your home was fantastic. And a great quite experience. All I can stay is I couldn;t imagine anything better. The food,great,the home bigger than ours! And the woods being so engulfed in the whole outdorrs what a vacation should be about. This is why you have great custimers,its just what should be included in a vacation. Great thank you so much for everything. =)
