Photos and Description of this Ferrisburg holiday cottage 3 BR 1 Bath Sleeps 6, Huge dock, Bikes, Large lawn, Swing Set and toys!

The cottage is set on 1.3 acres of land with a large, sunny yard, and 300 ft of waterfront. The cottage has three BRs and sleeps 6-7. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed; the second has a double and an extra long twin; the third has twin beds (linens and towels are provided). The bedrooms open onto a living room with a new gas fireplace for cool fall evenings. The modern kitchen has an Jenn-Aire electric stove top, oven and microwave, dishwasher, and W/D. The eat-in kitchen has views of the lake. A beautiful, large, screened-in porch on the back of the house provides panoramic views of the lake and the Adirondack park and mountains on the New York side of the lake. A renovated single bathroom has a sink, toilet, and a shower (no bathtub). Lawn furniture, 6 bikes, a Weber grill, a swing set, and mooring are included. Access to your private dock is via a rustic path and stairs. A canoe, and a dinghy are included. Contact us for photo website with more photos.

The Champlain Valley is set between the Green mountains to the East and the Champlain Lake and Adirondacks to the West. The valley is a breadbasket home to agriculture, commerce and a rich American history. The valley offers many attractions to the vacationer. The valley was once a critical war corridor for revolutionary America as it sought independence from the British. Later the Commercial value of the “highway” of the lake and canal system dominated the lake. Only in the 20th century did the lake begin to be a vacation destination with the advent of train travel and the Adirondack vacation movement. At this time a number of “Summer Camps” (uninsulated simple cottages) began to spring up along the lake. Our cottage is modest example of one of these camps. Today the valley maintains its rural history with a strong preservation campaign to save open space through conservation.
