This beautifully remodeled retreat is nestled in a 1/2 acre, backed by a nature trail. The light-filled great room has cathedral ceilings and is a combined family room-kitchen, with European appliances, an eating bar, and also dining room seating. The cozy, separate living room has a wood burning fire place (and couch with fold-out bed) and a large-screen TV. Each of the four bedrooms has French doors opening to the garden. (Keep the gate closed, or the deer may wander in!) The house also has a bonus room set up for computer use and with an air hockey table. This is the perfect place for a rejuvenating retreat, for reconnecting with family or friends or for exploring the Monterey Peninsula.

Location: Pacific Grove in USA

We are a block from the Asilomar entrance. Walk through to the beach. From there you can walk for miles on the ocean footpath or spend the day on Asilomar Beach which is perfect for surfing or tide pooling. Nearby Lover’s Point is a protected sandy cove, ideal for snorkeling or swimming. We are near the beginning of 17 mile drive, one of the most scenic drives in the world. Downtown Pacific Grove, with its quaint shops and an abundance of excellent restaurants, is a short car or bike ride away. Carmel and its numerous attractions is also very close, while a little further afield is the wild beauty of Point Lobos or of Big Sur. (you will find books of hikes at our house)

Fabulous House

We had a wonderful weekend at the Asilomar Ocean Retreat. The house is cute, comfortable and clean with a charming light-filled kitchen/great room. Bedrooms are on two sides of the house, so the floorplan is perfect for two families. The cozy family room with TV and rhe game room made it ideal for kids, but it would also be a great place for a girls-weekend etc. The ocean is in walking distance and downtown is a quick drive. I highly recommend this house!

This was the perfect house for our family. I can't say enough the owner was easy to work with and the house was clean and roomy. Great location to activities, walks, beaches. The basketball net and aquarium tickets were a plus with everyone!

We spent nearly a week at this wonderful spot and we all agree that we're more at home here than the week we spent in LaJolla, the week in Laguna, and the week on Hawaii. The house is relaxed, convenient, thoroughly appointed, yet laid back and private. All the furniture is beachworthy, not frou-frou. Absolutely no worries. Our dog was welcomed here too, and that made our time a true family experience. Monterey and Carmel are places you'll want to spend a week every year. We used the aquarium passes three times! We'll be back. This owner is perhaps the most easygoing we've encountered. In all ways, all stars! Asilomar truly is a refuge.

Great Family Retreat

We enjoyed this house tremendously. Kitchen/family rooms are at the center of the house with the bedrooms split off on each side. Great yard, enjoyed deer visiting in the yard occasionally. Beautiful location and a pleasure dealing with the owner.
