When you need a vacation where you can relax and completely unwind this is the perfect get-away place. Our condo sits right on the white sandy beach with a spectacular view of the aqua-blue ocean. This is a very quiet beach and one of the most beautiful in all of Hawaii. Located on the fourth floor of a nine story building, our unit it's perfectly situated. We are high enough for the perfect white water ocean view, & low enough to hear the sounds of the ocean all day and throughout the night. When we renovated our condo, we started out by completely gutting the entire unit, so we could start from scratch to design the the perfect cottage-style beach style, with all new flooring, gourmet kitchen, bathroom and furnishings. Probably the most important feature of our unit is the installation of high-end custom sliding doors that open a full twelve feet on to the covered Lanai. Makaha is paradise at its best, located on the far western area of Oahu, on Leeward side, or the sunny side of the island. We get very little rain here and always a wonderful balmy trade wind, which provides us with a perfect climate. If you want to have a relaxing vacation away from all the crowds, this is the place to be. The beaches are some of the most beautiful you will ever see and a great place for whale watching and watching the turtles swim in the surf. Hawaii has year round warm climate, along with the beauty of the Aloha Spirit.

  • We designed the bathroom with all top-of-the-line fixtures to resemble a beach cottage. Bead Board gives the bathroom area a cozy and fresh touch with an over-sized white pedestal sink. A spacious shower is done in a beautiful and unique stone shell travertine. Lots of fluffy towels are provided and always replaced on a regular basis.

  • Bedroom overlooks the oceanfront with beautiful rattan and wood furnishings. There is a large six-drawer dresser that provides plenty of storage for your personal items. A new plush-top firm Queen mattress and box springs will give you lots of comfort with plenty of fresh linens provided. We take pride in making sure that all bedding is kept fresh and new, with particular attention to replacing all sheets, blankets, pillows, pillow covers and mattress cover, on a regular basis. There is also a Queen Fold Down Sleeper Sofa in the Living Area to give you more sleeping options.

Our unit offers lots of privacy and you can view the spectacular beachfront from the moment you step inside. Your bedroom overlooks the white sandy beach, and aqua blue ocean, that you can hear all through the night.

Paradise away from the crowds!: This is a place where you can truly get away from the tourists and by the time you depart for home, you have completely relaxed and feel rejuvenated. A place where you don't have to buy a special wardrobe for every evening, a couple of new swimsuits, shorts, tops and comfortable beach sandals is all you need. If you decide to drive the 20 minutes into Ko Olina Resort, bring a colorful Sun-Dress, or Pants Outfit. Plan to walk along the shoreline of the spectacular beach and let your hair blow in the soft balmy trade-winds. This is paradise at Its best.

Our condo is spotlessly clean!: We have the most amazing ladies that keep our beautiful condo spotlessly clean. They are sisters who work as a team and make sure everything is cleaned to their high standards. When we travel, we want to be sure that we have rented a place that is newly renovated and the they are rated very high on cleanliness. Prior to your arrival, we inspect the condo to be sure that everything is ready for your arrival. We go the extra step and keep all pillows, blankets and spreads spotlessly clean with regular replacement of all linens. We want our guests to be assured of a comfortable and relaxing vacation where someone took the extra time to make it special.

9th year Anniversary Surprise....

There is not much to say, this place was perfect. From the awesome view, exceptional accomodations and super nice landlords...our vacation could not have been better.

Turtles on the beach, crashing waves all night long, a wall of glass that we NEVER shut, not once all week long.

I could go on, but it would be repetitive. I will not hesitate to go back and stay again. If you are looking for a getaway from the big city (Waikiki)....this is your place!

This is a hidden gem.

The beach is so clean and quiet on the weekdays. We loved watching the sunset from the Lanai and listening to the waves hitting against the sand. We loved the sea breeze and mountain air, especially in the afternoons, perfect for napping. We went all over the Island in search for nicer beaches but it wasn't necessary - no beach could compare.

The hospitality from the owners was superb. They were very responsive to our inquiries. Patient and prompt to reply to our emails and calls. They honored their word - sent us contracts and returned deposit checks as promised. And, they made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. We will definitely return here again. Thank you!

Excellent accommdations, very nice, very clean, with awesome view. Laura provided excellent list of places to eat and things to do. We were disappointed in the Red Baron Restuarant. The other surprise was the number of homeless and poverty in the area. However, the building is very secure and we never felt threaten at any time. The beach is nice, my wife had hard time with the strength of the waves; she's not a good swimmer. Time of the year (July 20th) makes difference too. Overall, we had fab time and would highly recommend this unit.

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. We had very little interest in the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, so we chose the leeward side of Oahu, with no regrets. The condo, lanai, beach, and turtle watching were all excellent. We would recommend you rent a car if you decide to travel around the rest of the island. Thanks for everything.

Amazing getaway!

What a wonderful little condo. We stayed for five days, and could have easily stayed for much longer!

The owners' exquisite decorating taste created a comfortable place to get away from everything, especially the touristy crowds. The pace of life there just forces you to slow down and relax! The beach was never crowded, and we could see turtles in the water from our lanai.

Take the advice given by the owners in their suggestions of local places to eat. We had a delicious breakfast (banana pancakes - yum!) at the Makaha Country Club, and a lovely dinner at Tacos and More. The locals at Tacos and More made our visit there so lovely, and let me tell you - have one of Javier's margaritas, and you will forget about the mai tai. We also hit Leonard's a couple of times in Honolulu - once on a food tour, and another time just because the malasadas were so delicious!

Again, this place is lovely - well maintained - and I would recommend it to any couple looking for a getaway.
