The master bedroom is located in its own wing and has a king-sized bed, walk-in closet, full bath, and small balcony off the front of the house. The second, equally spacious bedroom is located in a separate wing. This guest room has two queen beds and is adjacent to a full bath entered off the hall. A third, small bedroom with one queen bed is also in this wing. All three bedrooms have extensive built-in closets with plenty of hangers, shelves, and and drawers; all are furnished with high-quality beds, pillows, linens, and towels -- and good reading lights.

The kitchen was outfitted by an owner who loves to cook; it has first-class supplies ranging from stainless steel pots and pans to new dishes, fine drinking glasses, Italian cutlery, etc. For your health and peace of mind, the kitchen has both a UV water-filter system and bottled water (5 gal. garafon) on the premises. There is a separate laundry room with washer and dryer and a large pantry leading to yet another small deck and the lower level party room. The kitchen table seats four (or more) and the formal dining room table seats six. Both the kitchen and dining room have ceiling fans and ocean breezes. In addition to the necessities, this house offers many luxuries and cool furnishings, including wonderful Mexican folk art.

Views: The home’s prime hilltop location offers views in every direction. From the kitchen, you can see the high-rise hotels of the Zona Dorada (Golden Zone). The Pacific Ocean twinkles through keyhole views just across the street. The master and large guest room have beautiful views of Stone Island and the coastline south; the sizeable deck boasts a million dollar view of Mazatlán’s harbor, Stone Island, and the coastline as far as the eye can see.

Things to do in Mazatlan: There are great neighborhood strolls right outside the door and a small, sandy surfing beach (Playa Olas Altas) two short blocks away. Mazatlán's historic center, starting just at the bottom of the hill, is a beautiful, leafy, walkable neighborhood with good restaurants, bars, shops, an art museum, an archaeological museum, the Angela Peralta Theater, the Casa Machado, Spas ($20 massages), an English-language library, and more. Some of the city’s most popular restaurants are located around the Plazuela Machado, a lovely, shady, bench-lined town square which is the historic heart of Mazatlán. The recently refurbished Angela Peralta Theater offers everything from films to concerts to opera. The Plazuela is a relaxed 10-minute walk from the house.
