Would highly recommend this unit and Grand Cayman!

Recent stay (March 2009) was truly fabulous! Husband & I shared this 2 BR condo with my parents, who are retired. The layout was great, giving us plenty of space & privacy. Condo was nicely decorated, had beautiful tilework throughout & has obviously been well taken care of. Kitchen was fully equipped with modern appliances. Living room was furnished with plenty of comfortable furniture, as were the two bedrooms. Central A/C worked well but we also liked using the ceiling fans. Patio area was private & a great place to relax before or after a day at the beach. Daily maid service was excellent, our unit was always spotless (the maid also did our dishes!).Cleaning staff are uniformed, polite and respectful. Lisa, property manager, lives on-site & it's clear that she runs an excellent operation. Grounds were well-maintained, the pool was lovely but we rarely used it, preferring instead to swim in the ocean. Water temps all week seemed to be about the same as the air - low 80's. Beach itself was soft, white sand with a gradual slope into the water. There's some ground coral as you enter the water, but no "ironshore", some might like using water shoes. We loved that the beach was so large for such a small complex, it never felt or looked crowded. There are many very big thatched-roof palapas suitable for sharing with other guests, plenty of lounge chairs on the beach & at the pool.
It was wonderful to head out to our own beach at sunset, watching the sky turn such magnificent shades of red & gold, appetizers and adult beverages in hand! Later on, the stars come out in force, as there's very little ground light to affect them.
And while we didn't travel with children, we found the complex to be a nice mix of families with children, older & younger retirees, couples, etc. We loved the northern end of Seven Mile Beach, away from some of the congestion further south, just be sure you get a rental car so you can explore the island and not have to rely on taxis or buses. The new Foster's Supermarket is about 3 minutes up the road in West Bay, it had everything we needed. We're already talking about returning next year, to this same unit, as it was perfect. Really. Condo owner was wonderful to work with, prompt and helpful in her replies. The unit is as it's represented, and then some! You can't go wrong with Christopher Columbus.
