Seahorse/SeaMonkey's Island Oasis is a pristine old Florida style stilt house located on Don Pedro Island, a barrier island assessable only by car ferry across the Intra coastal Waterway or by boat to its own private dock, on the gulf of Mexico about half way between Ft. Myers and Sarasota, Florida. Cathedral ceilings, fully furnished gourmet kitchen, great room, fireplace, 32-ft screened lanai facing west for dramatic sunsets, beautiful modern yet eclectic furnishings, private jacuzzi and solar-heated swimming pool make this a very special haven to enjoy our little island. Located right on Bocilla Lagoon where the fishing off the pier is always great, it is a short boat ride to the Intra coastal Waterway and just a stone's throw to 7 1/2 miles of white sandy beach. The island roads are sand, and there are no street lights or commercial establishments (except for a resort at the far north end of the island) so you can really see the stars at night. Osprey are common, people aren't.

Seahorse Cottage is located on Don Pedro Island about half way between Sarasota and Ft Myers, Florida. The island is accessible only by ferry across the Intracoastal Waterway (runs constantly from 6AM-10PM) or by boat to our private dock on Bocilla Lagoon. This 71/2 mile long barrier island has pristine white sandy beaches, sand roads, no street lights, and very little traffic. It's Old Florida. The area's fishing (off the dock, deep sea, surf or flats) is some of the best in the world. Boat, kayak, golf cart (preferred means of transportation on the island) and bicycle rentals nearby. Wildlife abounds. Several golf courses, galleries and restaurants on mainland. Boat to Cabbage Key for a cheeseburger in paradise.
