Whether you are here for vacation, work or just need temporary housing, this charming place on a quiet tree-lined street in the hills of San Pedro can be your peaceful retreat for as long as you stay. This top-floor flat is loaded with gracious furnishings and the architectural charm of the 1920s. This spacious (1200 square-foot) flat has two bedrooms plus a small office, a separate dining room, large bathroom and big, bright kitchen. There is even a deck where you can watch the sun set with a glass of wine or see a container ship head for sea as you drink your coffee and catch up on the morning news. Each of the two bedrooms offers individual privacy with plush, comfortable queen-size beds and lovely decor. There is also day bed in the small office which is equipped with DSL for your laptop.

peaceful and relaxing

Our stay at this house was wonderful. The house was much better in person. I was thrilled to see how big and roomy it was. The master bedroom is very big and very peaceful (huge closet, too), and the other bedroom is across the hall with a bathroom and closets in between them so they are not connected. They seemed to have everything we needed to use for the kitchen, and even grocery cards to get discounted grocery's. We loved sitting on the patio every morning relaxing and enjoying the California breeze. The trip to Long Beach was really close, about 10-15 minutes. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone. I hope to return again. There was only a window air conditioner, but the house stayed very cool with the windows open and the fans going. The office has a twin bed in it and is connected to the living room. It has no door, but our daughter who is 2 is a heavy sleeper so she slept in her playpen in there with no problems. We just hooked our laptop up to the internet and it worked great. There are also many board games in there that I wish we would've had time to use. Overall 5 stars, loved it!

Quiet neighborhood, historic building

The appartment was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. To have washing machine and dryer was very convenient.
From the balcony we had a nice view of beautiful mature trees in neighbor gardens and the Port of LA in the distance.
The historic house has a lot of charm.
Food stores and restaurants are close by, but we would recommend a car.
The owner provides a lot of writen information and brochures about the area (the city of San Pedro and its very interesting historic background). At first we were surprised that the apartment actually was not in Long Beach but in San Pedro, but then we found out that San Pedro (right next to the hills of Palos Verdes) has very nice areas also and the short drive to Long Beach across the Vincent Thomas Bridge provided great views of the harbor. We enjoyed this drive (about 10 minutes) very much. To downtown LA it was about 20 minutes.
We would recommend this property to a friend!

We found San Pedro to be a good fit for our holiday. We were attending a 3 day convention in downtown LA & wanted to stay outside & commute. As promised, San Pedro was only about a 45 minute drive away from the Convention Center. We found the property clean & exactly as presented by the photographs. We enjoyed the many fine restaurants in the immediate area, but stay away from the Moroccan choice. The air conditioner could not keep up with the 98' heat unfortunately. We especially liked the large deck & sunny kitchen & would not hesitate to stay here again.
