Our spacious well-appointed 4 bedroom home will make your vacation dreams come true. It is located on 1.5 acres in a private community at the top of the hills west of Sonoma, and sits 1300 feet above the valley floor. It is surrounded by mature Oak and Bay trees giving you beautiful wooded views from every window. There are sweeping views of not only the hills but the south end of the Sonoma valley, the Carneros wine region and the north end of the San Francisco bay waters. Our hills are bustling with deer, wild turkeys, squirrels and many, many species of birds. Our guests say that our house feels like a '5 star' hotel: that’s exactly what we’d hoped. As you enter the front doors you are greeted with the warmth and welcoming feel of this home. There are neighbors but with the beautiful mature vegetation you can’t see other houses. You will feel like you’re in a world of your own. We are 5 miles from Sonoma’s central square where there are world class restaurants and great shopping.

From our house you can easily get to the Golden Gate Bridge (45 minutes), Downtown/Fisherman's Wharf San Francisco (60 minutes), thirty or more great wineries (15-30 minutes), Napa Valley (25 minutes), Bodega Bay (60 minutes), 3 state parks for hiking (20-30 minutes), at least six wonderful golf courses (20-45 minutes). and fantastic restaurants await you in downtown Sonoma (10-15 minutes).

Our kitchen has always been a favorite gathering spot. Lots of counter space, a great expanse of windows, a fireplace and our “pub” table all provide the perfect atmosphere. Our spacious dining room lends itself to romantic dinners or upbeat gatherings. The living room and sunroom overlook our large deck and the expansive views of the valley and distant mountain ranges. The morning sunrise is spectacular. If you prefer to sleep late, just grab a robe and enjoy the valley views with your first cup of coffee. The Sonoma valley is known as the Valley of the Moon. There is nothing more breathtaking than the big orange moon rising over the hills and flooding our deck with its glow. You’ll have a bird’s eye view.

Each bedroom has a personality of it’s own. Every bed has a down feather comforter to give you warmth without the weight and down feather pillows that will perfectly adjust to your preferences. All bedrooms have additional seating that will give you comfortable places to get-away from the group if you need a quiet time to talk or read. The wine country is a destination in itself: add to that this really terrific house and you have the perfect combination.

Last October six of us spent a long weekend in wine country (99% in Napa) and honestly the highlight of our trip was the house we stayed in! This house is so well laid out, cozy and has all the creature comforts you could want. We cooked dinner and snuggled next to the fire to enjoy a movie togeher on several occassions. Without fail we saw several deer in the yard every morning. I really can't recommend this place highly enough. The trip to Napa each day is a pleasant and scenic drive. Feel free to email if you would like our list of recommendations. Thanks for making our trip so memorable! : )

So much better than a hotel.

My wife and I stayed here in August 2009 with my 2 daughters (12 and 15) and my wife's parents. The property was immaculately maintained and the house was spotless. Very nice large house that would sleep 8 very comfortably. Saw deer every morning and evening. We sat on the deck every evening and enjoyed the spectacular view and drank some of our purchases from the day. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting the Sonoma/Napa area. My family is looking forward to returning very soon.
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

We absolutely loved this home! The pictures do not do it justice. Beautiful view, fabulous interior, and very spacious! Three couples and all had their own bedroom and bathroom. Not often do you find those amenities in rental homes. We will surely enjoy this home in the years to come.

A group of friends and I had the pleasure of staying at this house for a mini-vacation in early April of 2008. A wonderful house, location and view. We had everything we could have possibly needed and setting up the reservation and getting information was very easy. I hope to return someday soon!

Superlative! A perfect retreat in the Sonoma area. We stayed here while visiting to attend our son's wedding and couldn't have chosen a better spot.
