Local ferries also provide easy access to Burlington, Vt. and beyond. Your escape begins with our comfortable, spacious and carefully furnished four bedroom lodge. New and luxurious bedding provides the rest you crave and will recharge you for memorable days in the breathtaking Adirondack Mountains. Each bedroom is decorated and furnished with your comfort in mind. The great room, kitchen, den and three bathrooms offer creature comforts inside, while the Adirondack deck and woodlands beckon you outdoors. Year round activities include: fishing, boating, biking, hiking, horseback riding, and a wide array of alpine activities. Nestled on two acres of private property, Red Spruce is surrounded by Adirondack forest. Guest privileges include access to tennis courts, 6 miles of hiking trails, and a pond.

Some prefer to sit on the banks and chat or watch the water roll by. Going to a country store, village library or for a country breakfast at a nearby restaurant brings back the joys of a time gone by in most places but remains in the Forever Wild Adirondacks. Swimming, fishing and kayaking are just a few ways to enjoy the beautiful Ausable River. Lake Placid Village is just 20 beautiful minutes away.

Guest Comments: An absolutely outstanding accommodation. We're minutes from fishing and we'll be back for skiing in the winter.' 'Went wake-boarding in Lake Placid, hiking in the mountains and saw so much wildlife. This will be a memorable vacation because we were relaxed at the Red Spruce and could spend time as a family. This vacation rental is by far the best we've ever stayed at. The pictures do not do it justice. Everything was first class and it was an easy drive to Whiteface. Two of our days we went snowmobiling. This place is well worth the cost. Great family memories and we WILL return!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
