Long Beach holiday

We literally had only a few days to try to cram in a family vacation and with 4 small kids that usually means one thing - stress. I had rented vacation homes before and it doesn't really eliminate the headache in many cases despite being much more comfortable than a hotel. There are endless things that need to be packed, comforts you need to remember to bring, kids who won't eat anything but bagels, etc.

From the moment I inquired about the property everything seemed to be taken care of. Muriel was AMAZING and professional.

We met her at the front gate after driving through 5pm LA traffic - so I was expecting the worst and was already less than cheerful. She directed us to our parking spot (a miracle in LA to even have one) and then as our tired kids exited the van she cheerfully greeted every single one, shook their hands, and started answering all of their questions.

She checked us in and gave us the grand tour letting us know we had a huge selection of things at our disposal to make the vacation as relaxing as possible.

The condo was fantastic and VERY kid friendly. There were extra beach towels, paper plates, cups, etc. Fans for the bedrooms, DVDs, a book outlining all of the nearby attractions, and more. She had chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, and everything we could need.

It was one of the best vacations we had due to the attention to detail, warm reception, cleanliness of the condo (very important when your wife is like Monica from Friends), and constant assistance (at one point Muriel even walked down to the beach where we were camping out with directions to a great restaurant) provided by the Up and Away staff.

I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking for a fun beach vacation. The beach is literally 10 feet out the back door and it made all the difference being able to take care of everyone's needs.
