Photos and Description of this Indiana holiday cabin 3 bedrooms, 2 3/4 bathrooms, sleeps 22 including sofas

You will be with in walking distance of Patoka Lake in 3 directions and a short three-mile drive to the little Patoka boat ramp. Patoka Lake is Indiana's cleanest reservoir & second largest. Walk out the back of the cabin, step off the large deck, and you will be on your way to the mouth of Patoka river. Which is quick access to the fast water over 10 mph, boating, water skiing, jet skiing, etc. Walk cross the road and down the hill you will be at the 10 mph zone, fishing, hiking, and relaxing. Follow the road you come in on W. Newton Stewart and it will run right into the lake. Note: Defined hiking trails are limited near the lodge but most of the surrounding land is public property and available to all. There is more hiking/biking trails at the Patoka State Park approximately 20 minutes away. We are not handicap accessible. Sorry. Please call or e-mail any questions you might have. Lodge: The cabin is well equipped with the comforts of home, large eat in kitchen and bar, large table under roofed porch, corner wood stove, with a beautiful hearth, living room and a large family/gathering room up stairs with open balcony looking down on the hearth. There are 2 small cubbyhole rooms for the kids, one called the Bear Cubs Den the other Bat Cave.

To do: You will have quick and easy access to hiking, fishing, boating and hunting. There is plenty of public land available to the hunters. And of course the lake is full of Bass, Bluegill, Catfish, Strippers, and most all other native fish. Restaurants and stores are approximately a 20-minute drive. Please call or e-mail and ask any questions, we want you to have a great experience while staying at the lodge. We have stayed at this cabin twice now, and both times have had a great time. It's very clean, spacious and fully furnished as stated in listing. The covered back deck area is wonderful for sitting outside in the evening enjoying the scenery. I would highly recommend this cabin to any of my friends.

Great for a weekend with the Girls!

I work in a hair salon with 20+ girls. Each year we rent the cabin and have a blast!! It is a great and inexpensive place where all of us can go and take a weekend off work. The cabin was very clean and there was plently of room for all of us without feeling cramped. The drive way is big and has plenty of room for your boat. The Little Patoka Boat Ramp is close and convienient. The back yard is big and has plenty of room for cornhole and other fun activities. It also, has a fire pit to make smores!! Bring your bug spray. I would highly recommend The Lodge! I plan to take my family there this year as well.

Great Multi Family get away

This is a very private setting, no traffic, walk to the lake, short drive to boat ramp, large roomy, kids had a blast.
Has adequate space for 3 families of 4.
Very well equipped kitchen. Do bring some DVD’S to settle the kids down at night.
We will be back!

We recently spent a week at PTL. We were extremely disappointed in the condition of the property. It was in need of vacuuming and dusting. Our daughter had to vacuum the living room floor of bugs and wipe dirty footprints from the kitchen floor. The playground equipment was dirty and not usable by our grandchildren. The grill had not been recently cleaned. It is not "on the lake" as advertised. The TV/VCR/DVD was usable but did not include TV reception as one was led to believe. There was a live cockroach on the ceiling during our first meal there, thus we had to make sure our food was well sealed and also stored some of it in vehicles overnight. We found several D-Con (mouse poison) pellets upstairs. Because of this we called the owners and had negotiated a $100 reduction in the price. After reading our initial review of the property posted on this website he contacted our daughter (who had negotiated the $100 reduction). Because of our initial review he has chosen not to refund the $100. She did, however, get the $200 damage deposit back after several phone calls and emails to the owner. We do not recommend this property to other vacationers.

Awesome Getaway Weekend

Our family had been trying since June to rent a cabin at Patoka Lake so we could enjoy a family fun weekend. Finally due to a cancelation this property opened up. Our children ages 10 & 11 loved it. As soon as we arrived as they ran through the cabin staking claim on their sleeping quarters, which ended up being the loft. The kids each had a friend along and after the first night all 4 kids stated this place is better than Great Wolf Lodge! The cabin had plenty of space all cooking utensils provided bedding, towels etc. Close access to little patoka boat ramp with bait shop small store along the way very convenient. There is ample parking at the cabin for your boat cars etc. We enjoyed it so much we plan to book again and have recommended this spot to several of our friends.
