Things To Do:
Family activities are a big draw to vacationers in the Destin area. The Gulfarium has dolphin/sea lion shows, wild life/aquarium exhibits, a touch pool and Theatre Of The Sea. Kids love Big Kahuna's Water Park and the Track Family Recreation Center. Southern Star, Olin Marler & Sea Blaster dolphin cruises are great fun. Numerous charter fishing and boating activities are at the Destin Harbor. Be sure to take the kids to the see the fishing fleet return with the catch of the day. Snorkeling: from the boat Nathaniel Bowditch or from the beach at the Destin jetties. Scuba: divers will enjoy the waters which offer 40-100 foot visibility. The natural and artificial reefs in the area provide excellent views of marine life and natural coral encrusted limestone outcroppings.
In Fort Walton Beach are the Indian Temple Mound Museum and Kid's Science Museum and the Santa Rosa Mall with many stores including Sears, Penny's, Dillards and Belk's.

Nearby restaurants are Captain Dave's, Dewey Destin's, The Crab Trap, Pompano Joes, Harbor Docks, The Back Porch, Marlin Grill, Lucky Snapper (with great harbor views). Guglielmo's has delicious Northern Italian cuisine. and LaPaz (Authentic Mexican) and Osaka (Japanese). For a delicious breakfast Another Broken Egg is a must. McGuire's Irish Restaurant and Pub has good food and lots of atmosphere. Louisiana Lagniappe is another popular restaurant.
Don't miss Baytowne Wharf. It hosts a variety of good restaurants. We recommend them all. In nearby Fort Walton Beach are Old Bay Steamer, Magnolia Grill, Pranzo's Italian Restaurant, Okinawa (Japanese), Bangkok House (Thai), Panda's Chinese Buffet, Crab Trap Restaurant, Big City Cafe. These are but a sample offered in our area.

Seaside: (30 to 40 minutes drive) where the Truman Show was filmed. Enjoy the picturesque homes and shops. stroll through the cobblestone streets. Be sure to visit the Market. Enjoy good food at Bud and Alley's. It is the Best of the Best in Seaside. Bask at the beauty of the Gulf with views for miles from on top of the dunes.
