OSTERVILLE, located on the south side, is primarily residential and includes inlets and Harbors for fishing, Boating and a small business district. Recreational activities usually consist of playing Golf, Tennis (six free courts ) or Boating during the day. Three select clubs, the WIANNO CLUB, the Oyster Harbors Club and the Wianno Yacht Club keep the residents active. At night, the village's nightlife is unusually busy, as Wimpy's, Five Bays Bistro or Keepers in Crosby Yacht Yard are always packed for dinner. In the summer, Osterville thrives due to a predominantly seasonal make-up of its residents. Many maintain a second house in the area while spending most of their time in Greater Boston. In a Quiet Corner of Cape Cod called Osterville lies Armstrong-Kelley Park. Owned by the 74-year old Cape Cod Horticultural Society. The 72-year young wonderland in the woods is Cape Cod's oldest and largest (8.5 acres) privately owned park open FREE to the public.

  • A bedroom on the second floor right currently has 2 level bunk-bed and a loveseat/sleeper. This bedroom comfortably sleeps 3 people/kids. 1st floor bedroom is medium size. Both 2nd floor bedrooms are large and all bedrooms have large closets. Each floor has a full bathroom. Sleeper in the living room can be used for guests visits or when the house is fully booked to accommodate up to 9 people.

Sprinkler system will be activated automatically in early mornings approx 6am. Sprinkler system cycle has 5 zones and total time of cycle is about 40 min. Water will not be sprayed over the walkways but anything left on the grass will be soaked. 2 Tennis Rackets and multiple balls are included. Internet access (wireless/non-wireless) included. Wired access will be available in 2nd Floor Right Bedroom. All other areas will have wireless only Internet access. Please contact the owner, wired access can be enabled anywhere in the house. Please obey Wildlife Sanctuary Rules across the street. Rules are posted clearly on the trees.

Monday to Monday was our only option, this was accommodated, and so we went with this choice. It turned out to be an excellent choice because the location is central and is great if you like quiet. It's an easy drive to Craigville Beach which turned out to have the warmest water by far of the beaches we tried. We went there 4 times. Sandy Neck Beach was also decent for swimming (somewhat colder though) and is gorgeous to see. The beach pass and chairs were a nice touch. Coast Guard Beach (not included with pass) was frigid but beautiful to look at. Six of us (5 adults, one child) had ample space in the house and we slept well. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the upstairs single pullout couch, but there were enough other options that it wasn't a problem. Wireless internet access worked great with the laptop we brought along. Air conditioning was useful. The dining room chairs are quite high which for us was a novelty. We paid extra for linens, and these were all of good quality. Overall the rooms were cheerful and clean. We would definitely go back here if we ever need to sleep 6 again.

We had a great time at this house. It is well maintained and clean. The A/C was a benefit in the evenings as it was humid several days. The washer and dryer also came in handy. Beach pass is a nice addition. Located at end of a dead-end street so there is no traffic. Next time we rent in Barnstable County we will definately rent this house.

Just what we needed.

This rental was perfect for the 5 adults that stayed. It was very spacious and comfortable. The house was very clean and of the amenities that were promised were received. The owner called to make sure we had arrived and found everything ok, I thought this was very attentive. She was able to answer any questions we had about the house immediately via email. We were able to bbq outside in the deck. The area is very quiet and peaceful. The drive to the rest of Cape Cod was painless. We didn't really explore the town since everything was closed when we ventured to that area. However, do not eat at Wimpy's the food was expensive and not very tasty. I have already recommended this property to several friends and I am planning to go back with my inlaws.

The house was everything the owners promised! It was a dream vacation for my family. It was neat and clean and had all the amenities we needed. The appliances are new, and the beds so comfortable. The decorative taste was just wonderful. It was a pleasure to return after a long day of shopping or the beach and just relax in a beautiful and comfortable atmosphere. One of our favorite places was on the deck. It was roomy and the furniture was so pretty! I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a great vacation. It was well worth every penny. If anyone is looking for the ideal house to rent, this is it! I don't think you could do any better han this property! It was fantastic! The house just made the vacation. I would go back in a heartbeat!
