Charming modern, comfortable cabin on ten acres at 4,000 feet, adjacent to Grayson Highlands State Park and Mt. Rogers, VA Hiking, backpacking, trailriding, fly fishing, canoeing, camping all in the neighborhood. Boone, Blowing Rock, Abingdon, West Jefferson, Galax all within an hour. Walk to the Appalachian Trail from the back door. Very quiet and peaceful with 10 acres to roam surrounded by 100,000 acres of parkland. Cool breezes, amazing stars, local traditional music, antiquing, minutes to the Virginia Creeper trail for amazing biking. Enjoy fires in the huge stone fireplace, cool breezes on the two level porch and deck, all amenities. Sorry, no pets and no smoking...

Halfway between Abingdon and Galax on VA Hwy 58. One hour west on HWY 58 from intersection of I-77. Forty five minutes east on Hwy 58 from Abingdon at intersection of I-81. Can fly and rent car from Greensboro or Charlotte, NC in two and a half hours, or Tricities in Johnson City, TN in just under two hours. Also accessible from Roanoke, Virginia. Property is one mile east of the entrance to Grayson Highlands State Park.

Beautiful Place

A very nice, clean house with beautiful veiws. In the park behind the house we saw deer, turkey and all kinds of birds (but no ponies). Other people were picking blueberries in the park, we picked blackberries behind the house. The air can get chilly up there in August. I'm sure the view from the front porch is beautiful when the leaves change.

Such a great getaway!

Me and a few friends stayed at this cabin for a couple days and it was amazing! The house, yard, and view are completely up to par, we had no problems during our stay. The porch is warm during the afternoon, we sat around in T-shirts. It gets cold at night but the sunset is amazing and we saw deer in the yard! Bring 4x4 for the driveway!

If you stay here, wake up early for the sunrise, it's completely breathtaking. The house has everything you'll need for the stay, soft towels, comfy beds, etc. Such a good find! We will definitely rent again.

Great spot in Virginia's high mountains

This is a really great cabin perched on a hillside immediately adjacent to the Grayson Highlands State Park border. The property is very private and nicely landscaped with outside areas for sitting, a campfire, or just staring at a tremendous view looking down on dozens of mountains. You're within minutes of great hiking in either the State Park or the Mount Rogers NRA and also close to both the VA Creeper and New River bike trails. We were there during peak fall foliage but it must also be beautiful in the spring. The cabin is far enough away from towns that you probably won't want to go out at night but if you're happy staying in, this is the place for you.

Our Vacation at the Virginia Cabin

This is the most beautiful place. You will love it. It is so clean so wonderful, we loved the 4 days we were there. The Cabin is so great. I would highly reccomend this cabin, we saw deer and sat on the porch in July with jackets on at night it was GREAT. This is a great place to have a vacation. We hiked behind the property and you are right in the Forest. So Wonderful. The owners are very very nice.

A little piece of heaven!

The view from this quiet secluded cabin is unbelievable. The cabin has all the amenities for a reclusive getaway but still provides access to the outside world with cable TV, The bathroom is huge! With the Appalachian Trail and State Park right behind you, those who need to move can get a little exercise, but I preferred coffee on the front porch! I highly recommend this for a group of 4 but no more. And you really may need a 4-wheel drive for the first part of the driveway!
