Great house for R&R

We stayed at this house for a great week of rest and relaxation in Palm Springs.

The house was clean and well maintained. The pool cleaners were there twice while we were there (they come about 9:30 and it only takes a few minutes).

Great location - you can walk to downtown PS, and the neighborhood is quiet, walkable and has character. It's a real neighborhood, not a gated community.

The pool and spa are terrific. The spa takes about a half hour to warm up, but it gets to a really nice temperature and it's big.

The backyard has a nice view of the mountains and the patio is comfortable and shady in the afternoon. There's a mister around the patio canopy.

Satellite TV works great - we were able to catch our MLS team play one night because the game was on Digital Kick.

The instructions provided were clear and comprehensive.

We'd recommend this house for any group of adults seeking a relaxed and fun base of operations for PS activities. A nice house and a good deal.

Very Disappointed

Our family stayed at this property Christmas/New Years week (December 2008). While the house was well situated and spacious enough for five people, we were very disappointed in the way the house was maintained. The outdoor lounge chairs were broken and the cushions were filthy, most of the dishes were chipped and some were cracked (in fact one bowl spilt apart when we tried to use it!), the Teflon frying pans were so scratched up that they were unusable, the grill was left dirty and the brush to clean it was so full of caked-on grease that it was unusable, the refrigerator was left with old food that we had to clean out, and the washing machine was left with an old dirty rug in it, and had to be cleaned as well. In addition, although we were told that a”pool guy” comes regularly to clean the pool, we spent the week with debris at the bottom of the pool! I only wish I could post the pictures I took of these conditions in this review, so you could see for yourself. This is not what we expected from a luxury vacation rental!

We enjoyed our stay

My family stayed in this location for a week, and we enjoyed it very much. The location was close to downtown and since we were going to the film festival it was perfect. The property was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The only problem we found was the instructions on how to use the satellite television and the jacuzzi were not very good. But after I called the owner they called back and explained how to use them. I would recommend this property to a friend.
