The second bedroom, with two twin beds (and a washer / dryer) is a 15 foot walk outside to the bathroom; although it is attached to the house.

Beaches: The Big Island has many small cove beaches. The closest beach is a 5 minute drive down the hill. This is a quiet cove where sea turtles are often seen sunning themselves on the shore. Within a 10 minute drive are some of the best surf spots and boogie board beaches. The only long white sand beach is just 40 minutes to the North and there are many others in between.

Adventures: See a live volcano; swim wit the dolphins; play tennis; take a helicopter ride and view the Big Island from the air. There are so many things to do here; all within a short distance from the Kona Heavens Hideaway. Hke, swim, beach comb, shop, dine, dive, fish . . the list goes on and on.

Golf: 5 minutes from the house is Makalei Golf course. A challenging, but fun mountain course. 15 minutes from the Kona Heavens Hideaway is the Big Island Country Club; another mountain course where all you hear are the sounds of the NeNe Birds and your long, straight drive wooshing through the air. Along the coast within 30 minutes are 4 more world class golf courses; the Beach course or the Kings course at Waikoloa; Mauna Lani, where the greens are like velvet; Charles Schwab has his private course, as does the 4 Season's Hotel and the Kukio subdivision. But you are invited to play at the ocean or the mountain course in Keaheau , about 15 minutes to the south. It's a golfers paradise. You can play a different course every day and then go back for more.

We were there last week, and it is an amazing place. The pool and spa along with the gardens were great!!! It was also very convenient.

This is our favorite place to stay in Hawaii - great views, tropical surroundings, convenient location and private- Not a hotel or a condo! The owner is an artist and her talent shows from the paintings to the landscaping.

This is a wonderfull place to stay. I thoroughly enjoyed the comfort of the private apartment.Quiet days and cool evenings with the best of gentle breezes. The owner is delighfull,very helpfull and knowledable about the area. A wonderful place to settle in or enjoy as a base for traveling around the islands beautiful attractions.
