Enjoy this charming lakefront seasonal cottage located on three-mile, stocked Cossayuna Lake, nestled in the white pines of rustic Washington County. This quiet residential lake is conveniently situated within 30-40 minutes from Saratoga Springs (SPAC, Racetrack), Adirondack Park/Lake George, Battenkill River and Vermont. The cottage is situated on the east side of the lake where you will enjoy beautiful sunset views from the deck on the house or the lakeside deck. The lake is great for boating, fishing and swimming. You are welcome to bring your own boat or use our two kayaks/inner tubes on this beautiful lake where you will see an abundance of wildlife. The cottage is clean and well-maintained offering cable tv, a library of DVDs, CDs, books and games, large picnic table, BBQ grill, two living areas, a screened front porch overlooking the lake, a kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster oven and coffeemaker. Pillows, sheets, blankets, bath, lake towels are provided.

Cossayuna Lake is situated in rolling hills of scenic Washington County between Adirondack Park and the Green Mountain National Forest. This area boasts historical sightseeing (Saratoga/Ticonderoga/Fort Henry), activities galore for folks who love the outdoors. Saratoga Springs and its offerings of horse racing, performing arts (SPAC) beautiful downtown shops and restaurants is 30 minutes away. Lake George is also nearby with plenty of lake activities, shopping, and amusement parks including Six Flags Great Escape and Water Park. Surrounding towns of Greenwich, Salem, Glens Falls and Queensbury are home to antique shops, eateries, theatres and art galleries. Enjoy fresh produce from the many local farm markets or flyfishing on the Battenkill River. Outlet shopping in Manchester, VT is also nearby. Enjoy day trips to Adirondack Park (Adirondack Museum and many waterfalls), Saranac Lake's music festival, Lake Placid, Lake Champlain or Burlington VT. Cossayuna Lake will be your homebase!

A wonderful retreat

My family and I were very pleased with the cottage & all its amenities. My 19 year old son especially liked the large bedroom off of the kitchen, which was almost like a mini-apartment. Loved kayaking on the lake, both in the tandem & the single, which is my favorite way of exploring the area. The cottage was immaculately clean & comfortable & the decks were great places to hang out, both by the house & down at the water. This was the first time (in many years of various rentals) that the owner called to make sure we were okay--nice touch! The cottage had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Easy walk to the country store for the morning newspaper & a 40 minute drive to Saratoga Springs for shopping or dining (the Farmer's Market is a gem & for bibliophiles, the Lyrical Ballad on Phila Street is terrific).

It was just short of "excellent" for us because we didn't swim at all.

We had an excellent time. My son lives nearby and we had our two grandkids over for boating and cookout, they took us on a river canoe ride down the Batten Kill which is only 15 min away..a real treat. We had several ice cream treats at The Ice Cream Man.....great. It only rained at night during our week. We will come again.
Got local paper every morning at 7AM at the little store.

Fun for the Whole Family!

We had a great time here - the weather was amazing which provided the chance to canoe/fish/swim daily. The house had everything that you could want including movies and many games. It was a great place to vacation with children (including an infant)- everyone felt very safe. It was also refreshing to be able to taste fresh vegetables and fruit from local farms!

This was a fabulous place to stay. The surroundings were beautiful. The home was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The towels and linens were in better shape then the ones I have at home! The people in the area were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall - a wonderful, relaxing experience.

the cottage and the entire week was wonderful!!!!! we loved just hanging out and fishing or kayaking around. ya'll having 2 kayaks was an extra bonus. what fun. we caught plenty of fish- enough for a great griiled fish dinner one night and a fried fish breakfast another morning. what could be better. the next door neighbors were very kind and friendly. they made us feel quite welcome. the cottage itself worked perfectly for us. it was well stocked and well laid out. it was even great not having much cell service. it meant the older kids were not running off every 5 minutes to talk on their phones. even
with the limited phones, they also said that they would come again next year. that's quite a feat!! we managed to get out and about also. we spent an afternoon at the saratoga race track. we went boating and horseback riding at lake george. went to a rodeo at lake lucerne and went to tanglewood for a concert(boston symphony) that first sunday. and then hit jacobs pillow for dance(modern ballet) on the way home sat night. i couldn't have asked for a more relaxing week with plenty of family bonding time. thank you so much for sharing your lovely cottage!!!
