TV, & DVD/VCR in living room, Large kitchen with hardwood floors & oak paneling & every modern convenience. Spacious nearly 400 sq' living room with log fireplace & 4' x 8' pool table. Exercise equipment & weights in spacious recreation room. 3 Fantastic golf courses within 1/4 of mile of the house! Riverside, Mountainside & Creekside. Near to 7 other 18 hole golf courses, plus Windermere and Columbia lakes with beaches and boating amenities. Close to Fairmont resort and hot pools (and hot waterfall!), and Fairmont ski resort. Riverside Golf Clubhouse, with restaurants and bar, a mere 300yds walk. Six other ski resorts within 2 hours drive including Panarama, Kimberly, Fernie, Kicking Horse(great powder), Lake Louise, and Sunshine. Heli skiing and cat skiing are just 40 minutes away. Cross country from the back door onto the golf course.

Near to 7 other 18 hole golf courses, plus Windermere and Columbia lakes with beaches and boating amenities. Close to Fairmont resort and hot pools (and hot waterfall!), and Fairmont ski resort. Rafting on the Columbia River. Riverside Golf Clubhouse, with restaurants and bar, a mere 300yds walk. Six other ski resorts within 2 hours drive including Panarama, Kimberly, Fernie, Kicking Horse(great powder), Lake Louise, and Sunshine. Heli skiing and cat skiing are just 40 minutes away. Golf: Backs on to the 12th fairway of the beautiful Riverside golf course on the headwaters of the Columbia River 3 Fantastic Golf courses within 1/4 of mile of the house! Riverside, Mountainside, both 18 holes, & Creekside - an executive par 3 course. Near to 7 other 18 hole golf courses, Riverside Golf Clubhouse, with restaurants and bar, a mere 300yds walk.

Skiing: Fairmont has it's own ski resort, about 10 min drive up the mountain, great for families and beginner/intermediates. There are six other ski resorts within 2 hours drive including Panarama, (4000' vertical) Kimberly, Fernie, Kicking Horse(great powder), Lake Louise, and Sunshine. Heli skiing and cat skiing are just 40 minutes away. Cross country from the back door onto the golf course. Panorama has 22 miles of cross country trails & there are plenty in the nearby Kootenay National Park.

Water sports: Fairmont is renowned for it's world famous outdoor mineral hot pools which are open to the public all year, & have been recently renovated, & there is also a less well know hot waterfall, both within a 5 minute drive from the house. The adjacent resort uses the water in special spa & mud treatments. There are 2 lakes - Windermere & Columbia within 10 minutes drive of the house, both offer opportunities for all types of boating activities, water-skiing, beaches & swimming. The lakes are both very shallow and warm quickly in the summer. The Columbia River provides opportunities for canoeing, & rafting & fishing and there is white water rafting on the near by Toby Creek & Kicking Horse rivers. There is plenty of fishing in the numerous local creeks & mountain lakes.

We had a great time. There was lots of room for all of us and everything was very clean. We were expecting 4 bedrooms as was stated on the web page but it is only 3 and the pool table being in the garage was information we would have liked as was Dec. and cold when we went. Otherwise we were very happy with the house and would definitely consider staying there again.
