AWESOME!! Gorgeous! Best rental in Indian Rocks!!

My family and I stayed in this penthouse condo a couple of weeks ago and it is completely awesome! It will not disappoint and the pictures do not do it justice. This was our first experience with homeaway and it will not be our last. We have 2 little kids (3y.o. and 1y.o.) and this condo was perfect for us - it is pristine with a gorgeous, comfortable interior; we felt totally at home here and had everything we needed (even kid friendly plates and sippies in case you forgot!). The beds were comfy and sumptuous and there was even a crib (not your pack'n'play folks - a 'REAL' crib!) for the baby. Lots of beachy toys that my son loved and there were even a few girly toys that my little girl enjoyed. Everyone on site is very friendly and Joanne and Michael are a real pleasure to deal with, totally accomodating. The view of the unit itself is incredible and the sound of the waves..... I mean, you are right on the beach! Awesome!!

Close to great restaurants and takeaway spots - that are even very kid friendly (and we are talking 45 minutes and we might have to run can we please have the chq NOW). Guppy's was incredible and very service oriented (crayons and paper for the kids, etc.), Kooky Coconut for icecream and cuban pressed sandwiches, Lighthouse for sinfully delicious homemade donuts (owner gets up at 2am to get things going for 6am open)! Crabby Bill's (I don't normally like chains but this is a nice down to earth, local one), thai place cannot remember name but awesome food and 3 min away by car! Many more we didn't get to go to.... next time! The owners have a file with all the cool resto info in there. We did not get into the pool this time although the water was warm and it was very well maintained - next time for sure. There is a park across the way and Michael informed us of a playground with lots of equipment where we had some picnics that is less than 5 min away, over the bridge. Great spot and lots of locals with their kids.

We will definitely be coming back to this condo! Next year in fact - and we can't wait! We highly recommend to others, you will be hard pressed to find anything close to this in this area in my opinion. After much research (and I am a BIG researcher!), we found the perfect space in a perfect place. Close enough to all the kid attractions (and shopping!) of St.P and Tampa, but far enough away for some beach and quiet. Looking forward to next year! Big thank you to Joanne and Michael and see you soon!!!

Beautiful home away from home

We just returned from our beach vacation. We had a great time and we really enjoyed staying in this beautiful condo. The posted photos are very accurate. Very nicely decorated. The unit is very spacious and comfortable. All the comforts of home are included. It was especially nice to have the use of a DVR. We were able to record our favorite shows and watch them later...just like we do at home. An extra TV in one of the other bedrooms would have been nice, but not totally necessary. The vertical blinds need a little attention as well, some vanes were missing. The beach is fabulous, not crowded at all. The pool is nice, although the lounge chairs and tables could be updated. The reserved, covered parking space is a nice feature as well. Overall, a very nice place to vacation with the family, You'd be hard pressed to find anything nicer than this in the Indian Rocks Beach area.
Owner's Response: The lounge chairs are great, mainly because they are sturdy and do the job perfect. The poolside tables are terrific because they are permanent. A great plus when you are sitting on the Gulf of Mexico! :) An additional TV is easy to request, for the third bedroom. We will gladly place one if necessary. Most families find the very large screen TV in the living room and large screen in the master perfect for their needs, especially with children. As for the vertical blinds, they are easy to come off, as most parents know, when little hands get to them! But, they are easily put back on, when families leave. Renters are like family to us! We want you not only to find the accomodations wonderful, but to far exceed your expectations! We go above and beyond to give the most luxurious accomodations in this area. Thank you for all your fantastic reviews!! We strive to make your vacation wonderful!

On Top of The World at Indian Rocks Penthouse

We stayed in this lovely condo for 2 weeks in Jan. 2009. We found it to be very clean and spacious. As an example of how comfortable it was....I survived 2 weeks with both my mother-in-law and father-in-law, my own mother, my wife and my two kids aged 3 and 5!! If that doesn't say it all. Indian Rocks was a very friendly area of Florida -tons to do and see. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The residents in this condo complex were also very receptive to a young family being around. I'd highly recommend this property if you're going to be in the area. I'm not even going to try and describe the sunsets....

Excellent vacation spot

This is an excellent vacation spot. The condo is very very nice--the pictures don't do the place justice--it is very roomy and more than met our family's needs! This is an excellent spot on the gulf in close proximity to many activities and nice places to grab some local seafood. It was nice having a heated pool for our kids along with the beach just steps away from the condo. We utilized both and had wonderful weather the 2 weeks we were there in the 70's the entire time (pretty good for December and January!). We expected a nice place to vacation and our expectations were more than met. The property was clean and well maintained. I would definitely recommend this property. We visited several local seafood places including PJ's and Keegan's (featured on Food Network's Diners and Dives--very good food!) and they were excellent and within walking distance.
