Located at the end of a cul-de-sac, in a safe family neighborhood in the historical “el centro” district of San Miguel, it is a block away from the famous Artisan’s Market, and very close to the main square, “el jardin”, the historic cathedral, “la parroquia”, excellent restaurants, art galleries, cultural activities and classes, libraries, and bookstores. The apartment is entered by a plant-filled terrace, a perfect place for outdoor living and entertaining. The interior is elegant, airy and tranquil. Light from floor-to-ceiling glassed-in arches bathes the living room and dining areas. Exquisitely carved and arched wooden doors frame the spacious master bedroom, generous enough to be a second sitting room. With twin beds carved dresser, large closet and telephone/writing table. Notes: Maid service is once a week. Her name is Blanca and she has been with us for years. She is cheerful, honest and friendly. There is laundry nearby and they wash and fold clothes for a reasonable sum. There is a very nice swimming club a few blocks away. They charge by the day or you can get a pass. The pool is wonderful for lap swimming and the staff is very helpful. For fitness buffs, there are many gym facilities in San Miguel as well as excellent Yoga, Pilate's and strength training classes. You will also get fit from simply walking the town!

The photos of this lovely sanctuary do not do it justice. It is tucked away in the most perfect spot for anyone who wants to be near the center of town, but in a quiet neighborhood. The privacy coupled with the centrality is just perfect.

The apartment "sanctuary" is architecturally stunning and decorated so tastefully. We were looked after and felt like we had truly hit the jackpot. I still can not believe how inexpensive this little bit of paradise was.

This sanctuary of an apartment made our first trip to San Miguel truly perfect!
