  • NOTES:
    A. This cozy apartment is a 'one-of-a-kind' in the old city and return guests are already booking for next year. If this accommodation meets your specifications, we encourage you to reserve your stay very early; especially if your visit is to coincide with a special event.

    B. Please bring your favorite house slippers for use inside; it's an old-world tradition that's friendly to the polished antique wood floors. (In the winter, the municipal government keeps the streets and sidewalks clear of ice and snow with the liberal use of salt and chemicals ...it's great outside, but devours wood floors.)

    C. For more information please e-mail us. We have a series of PDF 'electronic brochures' featuring la Mason Ursulines, the neighborhood, city and unique destinations beyond; just tell us of your interests.

    D. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to email us. We will gladly help customize your stay to meet your specific needs.

Further details for this holiday rental in Quebec City, Canada

The Summer Season: Reserve this elegant apartment for an unforgettable visit. The summer months are a wonderfully mild season in this magical city with special events daily including New France historical celebrations just down the hill and the Changing of the Guard just up the hill in La Citadelle. Throughout the summer, the Old City overflows with window boxes and hanging flower baskets.

Winter Fun: It's also never too early to consider a winter fun and ski get-away. This condominium home is an ideal balance between close-by world class ski destinations like Mount St. Anne and Stoneham and great in-town night life ...for a truly French/European Christmas season, reserve this special home in December and have a magical holiday. Or join in Québec's famous Winter Carnival festivities (February); the biggest winter carnival in the world. Most events are right in the neighborhood.

The 'Off' Seasons: If art collecting, antiquing, or a quiet romantic get-aways the goal, consider booking a stay during our off seasons. The crowds are gone and the locals 'retake' the cafes as Old Québec slows down to a pace that matches the changing seasons. It's a great way to sample the town's timeless European tempo.

Best location, clean, well appointed, friendly

bitsa Rockland, Maine
Review Submitted: September 22, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
We (couple in late 40s and parents in mid-70s) were pleasantly surprised with the size, cleanliness and available amenities at 38 Rue de Jardins #3. Rooms were large, beds and linens great quality and comfort, basic materials supplied like dish soap, laundry detergent, shampoo, salt/pepper/tea, tissues and toilet paper. Perfect location for exploring Quebec on foot. Epicerie (small grocery) right next door has basic needs including milk, eggs, bread, some fruit, canned goods, cheeses, unbelievably decadent pastries, wine, beer and a deli. Apartment has rolodex of area restaurants. Telephone, TV, dishwasher, coffee/tea maker, toaster, W/D all appliances new and in good working order. Apartment 2 flights up, not hard even with bags. Terrace (a rear wooden deck with railings, 4 chairs and 2 small tables) that opens off kitchen is lovely. (You can see it on Google Earth) Fun watching girls arriving and leaving Ursuline school just below. Perfect for AM coffee or afternoon wine and cheese. Last day floor above (4th) occupied and we could hear footsteps but not bad and not early/late. Stayed 9/15-19/2009, with temperate weather so did not use air or heat. Opening windows allowed for nice cross breeze. Kitchen had nice selection of pots and pans and utensils. Plates, bowls, coffee mugs and silverware very good. Only 4 wine and 4 beverage glasses provided. Need a few more especially if using dishwasher. Stove/range, refrigerator and dishwasher were near perfect, clean and functioning. Even had ice cube trays! Simple furniture, nice. Beds exceptionally comfortable. Windows in every room and all opened. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Parking under City Hall complex 2 blocks away at $14/day. We are afraid to recommend this to our friends as they may beat us to rebooking. We plan to stay here agin if we can and would recommend it to anyone. Best for: 4 people but 6 could do it, must not mind 2 flights stairs, those who appreciate good, clean, simple amenities, those looking for perfect location at reasonable price. Thank you Jean-Marc and Christianne. Merci et bon chance.

Nice Place for the Price

Dawn D Montreal
Review Submitted: April 29, 2008 Date of Stay: April 2008
We stayed two nights in April 2008. The condo was very clean and in the perfect neighborhood for exploring by foot. The balcony is large and very nice, it had two bistro tables and was perfect for morning coffee. We found that even though it was in the city, it was still very peacefull. There is no parking, but the city lot is very close and quite reasonably priced. The appliances and dishes were in good shape. On a negative note, there was no microwave, and the third bedroom had a bunkbed, not a standard bed. We had to move the mattress to the floor as we did not feel safe in the bunkbed (it was wobbely and too close to the ceiling)
There is a beautfiul statue in front of the condo, that shone it's spotilight into the bedroom all night long, and the curtain only covered half the window so you could not hide it. There is alot of stairs as it is on the 3rd floor, so it may be hard for an older person.
We would rent this condo again, just for the charm and ambiance it offered.
