Quaint typically French 200yr old cottage set in its own old grounds , all on one level,of over 1.5 acres, all done in French country style, CD player [with I-pod connection,] ,LP player , hifi, Plasma 48' TV screen with satellite TV , video and dvd player. Cooker, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine etc in kitchen, plus all those extras you need to be a good cook!! - fantastic for cooking in for those interested!! automatic bread-maker! Washing machine, ironing board and iron all in a separate large utility/ ironing/laundry room. 6.00 mtr x 3.00 mtr salt water swimming pool. Very Quiet rural location a fishing lake and bar/ restaurant is 5 min country lane walk, otherwise dozens of restaurants all rural and drive-able. Food shop-10minutes at Le Fleix, and 12 mins St Foy Le Grande , on the Dordogne - [ one of the best markets in France on a Saturday!!!]. Bergerac airport 18 kilometres. Bordeaux 40 kilometres. Dordogne river 4 kms. Canoeing on Dordogne at Le Fleix.

A relaxing home from home (with lots of sun!)

What a wonderful holiday we all had. The cottage was just as we hoped it would be - but better. It really was a quaint French cottage but it had all the amenities that we needed.
The cottage was spotless on arrival and the garden was very well maintained with a priceless view over the fields from the terrace and front door. The perfect spot for some of the most beautiful sunsets we have seen for a long while.
The location was perfect too. Close to Bergerac, 60 miles from Bordeaux but in a village where we could shut ourselves away from the hustle and bustle of life if we wanted to.
We would absolutely recommend this cottage to anyone planning a holiday to this region especially as the gardener assured us that in 2008 there will be a pool as well.
We will be back!
