Walk to the river and all the Landmark Historic District has to offer while enjoying incredible comfort & luxury in this lovingly restored 1870's home. Pass through the marble foyer to the handsomely furnished living and dining areas. Heartpine flooring, marble fireplaces, high ceilings, & floor-to-ceiling windows welcome you warmly. The Manor has 4BR/2.5 Baths & sleeps up to 10. In the rear is the 2BR/2Ba Carriage House. Restored using craftsman-style technique, it has a private entrance off East Jones Lane. A delightful kitchen, polished wood floors, quality bedding, stone and tiled bathrooms, and luxurious soft leather furnishings tantalizes with its old world decor. Sleeping up to 6, the CH has a charming wicker bedroom on the first floor while the spacious Master Suite occupies the entire second floor. Meandering between the courtyards of the Manor and CH is easily accomplished yet, due to their angled location, each offers foliage bedecked privacy when rented separately

Taylor Manor was so beautiful! It was an absolute pleasure to stay there. Suzanne stopped by the first night with a complementary basket. She was so nice and very informative, answering any and all questions we had. The house was so close to everything in the historic district that there was almost no need to drive anywhere. We went to City Market, Tybee Island, the riverfront, the park, Paula Deen's, and so much more. Savannah is a very beautiful city, and when I visit again, I would like to stay there.
Owner's Response: We love our city and our guests ....especially the ones who return again and again! There's still so much to see that you honestly can't fit it in in only one trip! One of the best parts is getting to meet our guests and getting a chance to truly show off southern hospitality!

Great Weekend Getaway Home

A bunch of my girlfriends and I rented the house for a long weekend in October and we had a great time. The dining room, huge kitchen, outdoor patio and grill were perfect for dinners together. There was plenty of room for all 10 of us and everything was walking distance or a very short cab ride. It was the perfect house for us to have a reunion and many great memories were made here! We will definitely be coming back!
Owner's Response: The open and airy floorplan allows for large groups to mingle and yet still find plenty of space for alone time. And the outdoor Courtyard has both ambience and comfort for groups of all sizes.
Come again and again...we love our return customers!

The perfect set-up for a

For years my mother has wanted to get my sisters, my aunt and my cousin together for a girls weekend...It finally happened. We decided to rent a house, with a little hesitation on how well it would accomodate 7 "Alpha" women. To my surprise it was THE perfect venue for our get-together. It was so perfect that we only went out to eat once and preferred making our own meals and just hanging out in this wonderful home. The manor offered a large kitchen great living space, very comfortable beds and the location allowed us to walk just about everywhere. The owners were very accomodating and even gave us a basket of cheese and crackers as well as a nice bottle of wine...yum!
Owner's Response: Providing a kitchen fully stocked with all you need to cook for large gatherings of family and friends was a goal of ours when we first set out to transform our former home into a vacation rental several years ago. Same goes for having quality mattresses so that truly resting and relaxation is a favorite memory of our guests! Both have helped to bring back our guests again and again!

The Perfect Vacation!

My family chose this historic Savannah property for our annual vacation and it proved to be the perfect decision. A friend who accompanied us was wheelchair bound and the handicapped accommodations were seemlessly incorporated into the design of the property, providing a delightful yet practical solution. Suzanne was an excellent host and we will always cherish Savannah's historical charm and friendly, colorful characters.
Owner's Response: Ya'll were a delight and I truly enjoy having guests who use the handicap access and aspects of the Carriage House/Cottage! We don't get as many renters with those needs as I thought would need them when we installed the grab bars and ramp and such. So I am tickled when we do! As an RN, I am very aware of the
needs of Seniors and those with disabilities and this is one of the major reasons we chose to make the CH/Cottage Handicap/Senior accessible and friendly!

I didn't realize that the Carriage house was handicapped accessible.
I would recommend this place for everyone.
Owner's Response: That's not surprising since the ramp access is discrete & camouflaged by the floral surroundings. It's quite unlike the long, bulky ramps you'll find at hotels and other private homes. The rear deck in the Courtyard is about a foot off the ground so our sweetly small, yet sturdy ramp, is perfect for wheelchairs, strollers, or walkers. And...the rear entrance threshold is flush with the deck. There's a first floor bedroom and the bath on the first floor has a walk in shower equipped with hand-held shower head and "elegant" :-) grab bars! We wanted to make it suitable for those with handicaps &/or Seniors, yet avoid a hospital-ish feel and thus allow the Carriage House to retain its luxuriously-cozy feel for those who stay with no handicap needs. Thank you for confirming we succeeded!
