This is a truly unique place to stay. The Hanalei Surfboard House will provide you with an accommodating experience you won't soon forget. The large, secluded suite is one-of-a-kind, with private entrance. You are guaranteed to feel right at home in this clean, beautiful apartment which provides a comfortable king sized bed and fantastic shower. Nowhere else will you find such an abundance of conveniences, including an iPod dock and wireless Internet! Spend an afternoon at the beach, 30 seconds away, right across the street, or step out onto one of your own two exclusive lanais and enjoy a BBQ. Hanalei town is only a half a mile away with a variety of restaurants and shops to choose from. Be sure to visit the website for additional information and pictures. The Hanalei Surfboard House is right next to the local town, which includes a variety of restaurants, all the way from seafood and tapas, to pizza and local grinds. Hanalei town also provides plenty of shopping, a health food store and a grocery store. Within just a few short blocks of the house is the farmer's market, where one can buy fresh fruits and vegetables twice a week. Located on the North Shore of beautiful Kauai, there is an endless list of outdoor activities to enjoy, such as hiking and snorkeling. Plus, the best part about the location is that you're only steps away from the beach!

The island of Kauai is our favorite vacation destination. It's unspoiled natural beauty captivates us every year that we visit. The Hanalei Surfboard House is the most unique and comforting rental on Kauai and the only place we choose to stay. This private secluded property has great state-of-the art amenities, is clean, well-maintained, and is conveniently located within a few minutes from hiking, beaches, restaurants, and local grocery stores. Parking is up-front, and the owner/host is always welcoming and excellent with recommendations for activities. We are expecting to book in Dec for our next Kauai vacation. We recommend an early booking since Hanalei is a popular destination spot.

I got a chance to stay at the Hanalei Surfboard House on a business trip in July and was very impressed. Great amenities, plush linens, the coolest nostalgic furnishings I've seen, kitchenette area, packed with an ipod dock, flat screen TV, and brand new state-of-the -art appliances. Conveniently located next to the beach, and just a short distance from amazing hiking trails. Great people, great location, and very comfortable place to stay. I would highly recommend you see for yourself!

Paradise exists!

My fiancé and I were looking for a romantic getaway. After months of researching hotels, activities, and the islands, we decided to stay at the Hanalei Surfboard House in Hanalei, Kauai. After reading the reviews on this place, we had to see it for ourselves. Much to our delight, we were in awe from the moment we arrived. Our host, Simon was very hospitable and helped us plan some activities. We had a full list of things to do from sailing, to surfing, to hiking, and not to mention witnessing some of the most unbelievable sunsets. Our suite was a dream with all amenities, spacious, great custom bathroom, a kitchenette, king bed, TV, and an outdoor shower too.

The surfboard house is an amazing base for a trip to the beautiful island of Kauai. With just enough flare to separate it from the standard tourist fare without going over the top, the apartments are everything you could want for an extended stay. Add the fact that Simon, the owner, is an incredible story teller and truly welcoming person and you have a top notch place to stay!
