A mountain retreat, but within minutes of Burlington, Middlebury, five to Bristol (VT Bike & Touring) , close to major ski areas. Hiking on the mountain, snow shoeing, Xcountry skiing, glorious fall foliage, all the countless summer events in the Champlain Valley just minutes away. The lodge is off-grid with a generator/inverter system.that takes care of itself automaticallly. Utilities here are conveniently usable without electricity. All the conveniences of home with the quiet serenity of the mountain. Easy access car-road, off the beaten path and so close to everything. Nothing to take with you but your personal belongings and supplies if you're planning your meals in. Everything else is furnished. The atmosphere on this mountain can take the stress out of anyone's life. Two bedrooms upstairs with king size and two twins in one and a queen in the other. Fool's Festival

My husband and I stayed here with our dogs for the Fool's Festival in Burlington. It is a great away from it all place, very peaceful. The dogs had fun running up and down the mountain for hours at a time. The town of Bristol has some places to shop and eat. The Bobcat Cafe we very much enjoyed, the food very good, try the lentil burger,excellent! They also make good beer, I enjoyed the Porter. The Bakery is great for breakfast, fresh egg sandwich, or cherry torte pastry.
We drove to Burlington, Church St, and it took 30 min. Nice drive through farm and towns. Also drove to Fort Ticonderoga which took 1hour and 10 min. Very much enjoyed returning to the peaceful lodge.
The only thing I would like to mention is that the water pressure seemed low, which made taking a shower a little slow, but other than that it is a great place, very dog friendly. Thank you again for letting us stay here.

Winter vacation

The house was fantastic and so were those renting it. It was perfect for our large family gathering of six adults and six young children. Quite warm in winter, lots of space, amenities were all there and more so. Not far from Burlington yet far enough to get you out of the city. I highly recommend it.
