Beautiful in summer and winter, this elegant house works as a retreat, a base for active holidays, and a center for family visits of several generations. Everyone from toddler to grandparent finds his or her niche. There is a gorgeous mountain view out of every window in the house. Elegant reading spot off Master suite doubles as a baby room; sunny back yard with massive perennial garden leads by footpath to kids' playground with swings and slides visible from the kitchen window. Fabulous kitchen with gas range for cooking big family meals. Patio with dining table. Wood-burning and gas fireplaces, double garage, steam shower, surround sound, laundry, family room with TV/DVD . The house sits on the last street in town and looks straight into the mountains behind. Lots of separation between large family area, and quiet adult haven.

Located just 15 minutes outside the Banff National Park gates, and within easy access to Kananaskis Provincial Park, the Bow River Valley, Lake Louise and beyond--surrounded by mountains and lakes with hundreds of hiking, biking and horseback riding trails. It is within half an hour of 5 great golf courses. In winter, you can sit at Sunshine, Norquay and Lake Louise.

skiing walking fishing snowshoeing cultural events: This is a very private house, away from downtown, that backs straight into the mountain slopes. It offers maximum separation for generations, with a big family room for kids and TV and an adult sitting room with music and amazing views. Stewart Crrek, Silvertip, Kananaskis and Banff Springs gold courses are nearby. The Nordic Centre offers cross country skiing and biking, 10 minutes away. But if you'd rather sit and read there is a little nook outside the master bedroom, and the back patio is a sun trap even in February. The well-maintained river pathways can be reached by just walking out the front door. These can take you into 'town' with great restaurants, or along the gorgeous Bow banks toward Three Sisters.

Very Memorable Stay in Canmore

Our stay in Canmore was fantastic! Being given the opportunity to stay in this lovely home versus a hotel gave our family a more intimate “at home” feel. Our temporary home away from home was a beautiful place with breath-taking views from every window. It also gave us the privacy and serenity we wanted and the freedom to just enjoy all the amenities that the house had to offer. Enjoying simple things, like making our own breakfast and laughing loudly while playing games with family, is what helped make our stay so special. The mountain views were spectacular and they allowed us to enjoy the scenic beauty of Canmore right from the comfort of ‘our’ living room and deck. For a family as big as ours, the stay was well worth the investment. This home is fantasitc for all ages and all travel needs, entire home was absolutely spotless and the owner was so accommodating to our family. Thank you for that opportunity. We will utilize it again guaranteed!

We just returned home after staying one week in this gorgeous home in a quiet neighborhood. We had a group of 8 women on a hiking vacation. This home worked great as "home base". We had plenty of room, gorgeous views, and all the comforts we could ask for. It was very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this home and would love to return someday.

I have stayed in this house both summer and winter, both exprences offering unique and memorable experiences. The ski hills in the area are some of the best in the country, with the hiking and mountain bike trails being of similar quality.

The house itself is top notch, as the entertainment center, living room sound system and kitchen are all very modern and of fantastic quality.

Recommended to anyone interested in a high class mountain retreat.
