Come enjoy Tucson from your own gorgeous, fully renovated 1907 home in historic Armory park. Herbert House has beautiful, original wood floors, high ceilings, two bedrooms with King beds, free WIFI, cable and long-distance calling, and a fully remodeled kitchen with dishwasher/washer/dryer. The Tucson Convention Center, Symphony, Opera, Rialto Concert Hall, Congress Hotel, and Temple of Music and Art are just a few short blocks away, and the University of Arizona is just over 1 mile away across the picturesque West University District. Downtown attractions on Congress St and 4th Avenue -- restaurants, museums, shops, clubs, art/furniture galleries, organic markets and more -- are just minutes away by foot. Basic foodstuffs, gourmet coffees and teas are provided. The fully enclosed backyard includes a private, open-air outdoor shower and a hot tub with seating for 5.

The area is a naturalist's paradise. Outdoor attractions within a short distance of Herbert House include: the famous Sonoran Desert Museum, the spectacular Santa Catalina, Santa Rita and Tucson Mountains, the historic Mission San Xavier, Karchner Caverns, the San Pedro River Riparian preserve, and Arizona's upland wine country. The fascinating Mexican border town of Nogales is only 60 miles away, and historic Bisbee, Tubac and Tombstone are all within 1.5 hours of Tucson. The Chiracahua National Monument is within 2 hours drive, and ranks with the Grand Canyon and Sedona as one of Arizona's natural wonders. In the winter, tens of thousands of Sand Hill Cranes can be witnessed taking off every morning from wetlands near Bisbee. Cultural events include the Tour de Tucson bicycle race which begins and ends just a few blocks away, the eerily beautiful Dia de los Muertos procession in early November, and the innumerable arts events that take place downtown all year long.

2 Bed Room Downtown Tucson Find

Clean, cozy, coinvent, comfy king beds and an updated kitchen with all amenities, including fresh ground coffee and a tea bar. This 2 bedroom 1100 ft unit in downtown Tucson was an absolute find. The owners provided lots of recommendations to attractions, current events and superb; restaurant / grocery / shopping/ local attraction all with written directions. The very private hot tub with the outdoor shower once tried was the highlight opening and closing of each day.
Convenient for accessing all areas of Tucson and very safe neighborhood for walking.
Have already recommended to a number of friends and we are thinking of returning ourselves. Internet & phone service provided up graded alarm clocks / radios that are docking stations for I Pods. Truly a home away from home.
