Much better than hotel alternatives!

We frequently travel to the Mesquite area, and have always stayed in either one of the resort casino. We decided that we'd really rather stay where we could have our own kitchen, though, and chose The Springs from this website. We were very pleased with our choice.
The condo was well laid out, clean, and almost immediately felt like "home". We unfortunately found the beds uncomfortably soft. Friends of our were staying in another condo, however, and did not find this to be the case in their condo, so maybe it's just a factor in unit 173A.
Although there was no quiet balcony or terrace to enjoy our morning cup of coffee, we enjoyed the hot tub and pool area. It was delightfully CLEAN! There were plenty of loungers and chairs around the pool, too.
Next to the pool was a (briquette) bbq area with about 4 bbq and picnic tables - all under a great canopy to keep the sun off. This was also next to a small playground for the younger set.
If you feel like a workout, there is a small workout room with basic equipment available.
Each unit comes with it's own garage. We were able to unpack our golf clubs from the car, and could leave them securely in the garage. The garage doors are quite small - it's a tight fit for a smaller car, so I doubt that an SUV would fit. Still, it was nice to be able to walk through the garage into the kitchen with groceries.
The Springs is only a few blocks away from two of the larger casinos in Mesquite. Otherwise, it's quite a distance from grocery stores and other amenities.
The two big activities in Mesquite are gambling and golfing. In the fall (3rd week of October), the ReMax Long Drive (golf) competition is held, so rooms can be pretty tight. As well, the Hunstman Senior Games are held in nearby St. George, Utah. Many of the athletes stay in Mesquite, so room availability may be lessened.
Mesquite is a close drive to Hoover Dam, and it's well within driving distance of other great places such as Valley of Fire, Zion and Bryce National Parks -- WELL WORTH a visit. There is fabulous hiking and sightseeing in these parks.
The closest major airport is Las Vegas (about 1 1/2 hour drive), but it is possible (although expensive) to fly into St. George, Utah. I'm not sure if you can fly into the Mesquite airport.
I don't believe that you can rent a car in Mesquite, but you can in both Las Vegas (of course) and in St. George.
We will definitely rent again at the Springs.
