'The Village Gem' is a wonderful vacation getaway. Newly renovated/period restored pre-1820 house located in a quiet village center. Sophisticated urban refinements meet 18th century charm. Great location in a country village just located outside Hershey proper. 3 miles from Hershey Park, Spa and Gardens, AACA Antique Auto Museum. Hershey outlet malls 5 miles. Hour from Gettysburg and Adamstown, PA. 8 miles from Harrisburg (Civil War Museum), over 12 surrounding golf courses with 3 less than 5 miles. Lancaster County Dutch Country and Lancaster outlet mall only 35 miles away. Renaissance Fair 12 miles. Penn National Race Track and The Hollywood Casino is only 10 miles away: Harrisburg Farm Show building approx. 8 miles away. Very Close to all major highways and PA turnpike. Off street parking with a fenced backyard. So very conveniently located to all the splendors Pennsylvania has to offer. Then come back and relax in the house with all its great features.

Property is beautifully presented - clean with good quality furnishings. Photographs on website do not do it justice. Beds extremely comfortable and plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 adult sized teenagers. We loved the bathrooms and the extra touches of good quality toiletries for guests use. Small garden at back a suntrap would benefit from a picnic bench or chairs to enjoy the evening sunshine. Owner very helpful with all of our queries.
Really enjoyed a trip to Lake Tobias Wildlife Park as very cheap and lots of interesting animals to see. Diner in Hummelstown - good food and good prices. Only small point is that, without knowing layout of American towns, we had hoped the property was walkable to shops/restaurants, however a car is needed. If any friends wish to visit this area, would definately recommend.

We just made a reservation for our third year. This property is beautiful with a totally updated look. We enjoy cooking and the kitchen is well equipped with beautiful new appliances. Last year we had a small issue with lighting and the owner was very responsive and easy to deal with. The home is quite comfortable

We are a family of 6, toddler,senior, teens and adults, all of us enjoy the house. Its very close to hershey park, we choose this home because of the history that has and our children loves it. Its very cozy, and feels like our home. Definetively, we will stay again.

Fantastic place to stay!

This house is located close to many area attractions. We went to the Antique Auto Museum and Hershey Park and also took a day trip to the Crayola Factory (about 90 minutes away in Easton, PA). It was clean and well maintained. The furnishings and decor were very nice. We felt right at home and we can't wait to stay here again!

The house was more than we had hoped for. It was beautifully decorated and very clean. It had everything needed to cook, do laundry, etc. We will definitely stay there again.
