Located on the access road to Burke Mountain less than a ¼ mile from the center of East Burke Village, this immaculate 1950s cape is the perfect home-away-from-home. The 4 bedrooms plus pull-out sofa and twin-bed in the den sleep 8 to 10, and the large, very private backyard has an unspoiled woodland view, perfect for relaxing around the camp fire and barbecuing on the new Weber gas grill. The spacious living room is has cable TV, and the den has high speed Internet access for your laptop. The kitchen is well-equipped with gas stove, full-sized fridge, dish washer, microwave oven and plenty of pots, pans, dishes, and glassware. There is a new washer and dryer for your use. The ground floor bedroom has a queen bed and adjacent full bath. The 3 bedrooms upstairs have views of the surrounding forests and a second full bath. The largest bedroom has a queen bed, across the hall are a twin-bedded room and a small bedroom with bunk bed. The queen bedroom and bunk room have cable TV.

East Burke is located at the heart of Vermont's spectacular Northeast Kingdom and is an ideal base for exploring the region's beautiful mountains, valleys, lakes, and quaint villages in all seasons. Burke Mountain's base lodge is less than 1/2 mile from the house, and this family-friendly ski area boasts 2,000 feet vertical drop, a great mixture of novice, intermediate, and advanced trails and non-existent lift lines. There are 2 cross-country ski facilities within 1/2 mile with kilometer after kilometer of gorgeous woodland and mountain scenery. When the snow melts the renowned Kingdom Trails mountain bike trail network is based in the village, just 1/4 mile away. The area has some amazing restaurants, and the county seat, St. Johnsbury, has many points of interest, including the Fairbanks Museum (natural history), the Athenaeum (art), and world-famous Maple Grove Factory and Museum.
