This spacious home is located in the Barrier Dunes (unit 46) complex at Cape San Blas FL. The Cape beaches were rated #1 in the USA in 2006. The Cape is also the last pet and family friendly area along the Florida Panhandle. The home is about 100 steps to the beach-side pool and beach access. The main floor has a large living area with a queen sleeper sofa, dining area for up to 8, a well stocked kitchen and a half bath. There is also a large deck overlooking a stocked fishing pond. The second floor of the unit has 2 master suites (one queen and one king) each with a private bath. There is a deck off each suite and the king suite deck has both a gulf and lake view. There is a spiral staircase to access the large loft area which is great for children. There are 3 twin beds in the loft with a TV and VCR for entertainment. There is plenty of space for the children to play games and lounge around. There is also a beautiful gulf view from the loft.

The complex has 2 tennis courts, 2 pools (one beachside) and 3 stocked fishing ponds that are great for the children. Barrier Dunes is located just outside St Joseph State Park which offers 7 miles of pristine beaches and bay access. There is great shelling, snorkeling and fishing in the park. There is also a hiking trail with overnight camping available. Nearby there are charter fishing boats available in both Port St Joe and Appalachicola for bay or gulf fishing. Also nearby is the Port St Joe county club golf course. The Port St Joe marina offers scuba diving, boat rentals and sailing opportunities.

Great condo and great beach

My boyfriend and I and our 2 medium sized dogs rented this condo over Christmas. The condo was very cute, exactly as described and had everything we needed. It was a short walk to the extremely clean, beautiful beach. The Barrier Dunes community is well kept and very dog friendly. Would definitley go back and recommend to others looking for a quiet, remote, dog friendly vacation spot. Lots of shells on the beach too!
Owner's Response: We appreciate these comments on our condo. We also love our condo, the Barrier Dunes community and Cape San Blas beaches. The area is truely unique in Florida.
