Nestled in the Green Mountains in Central Vermont, this traditional Vermont white farmhouse on a hill was built in the 1840's. The house has been lovingly maintained and features many original details. This large farmhouse is the perfect rental for families who wish to spend quality time in the country. The house has mountain views and is surrounded by meadows and stone walls. Upstairs are three bedrooms, one with a screened-in second floor porch. Downstairs you will find another bedroom, dining room, a kitchen and a large family room with a full dining table framed by large picture windows with mountain views. The house is two miles from the picturesque village of Belmont, 7 miles from the resort town of Ludlow, with Weston and Manchester nearby. Comfortably furnished 10 room house with satellite TV, VCR, DVD, Internet, CD player, fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher, microwave and laundry with W/D. The house sits in the unincorporated hamlet of Healdville, Vermont, in the town of Mount Holly, and is surrounded by fields on one side and forest on the other. Next to the house is the Okemo State Forest with a trailhead a 1/4 mile away that provides miles of hiking trails up the backside of Okemo Mountain. You can hike to the top of the mountain and climb the observation tower, which offers views of three states on clear days. Up the road from the farm is the oldest operating cheese factory in the country, Crowley Cheese, which has made its traditional Colby cheese since the 19th Century. Continue on to the village of Belmont, a traditional 19th century village dominated by a church steeple, town green and library, where you?ll find the Belmont store, a traditional Vermont Country Store with all the necessities, a deli and local goods. Belmont is crowned by Star Lake where swimming and boating are the summer past times.

The house has four bedrooms. Upstairs a large bedroom offers a full size bed and a screened in porch. There are two additional bedrooms with a two sets of twin beds. Downstairs, a bedroom offers an additional queen size bed. With the sleeper sofa in the living room, another queen size bed is available. The house can sleep ten with the use of all beds, perfect for a large family with children or two families.

There are two full bathrooms, one on each floor. The downstairs bathroom features a traditional claw foot tub and shower. The country kitchen comes equipped with a four burner stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven and coffee maker. The counters are finished in local maple butcher block. The large family room has a large fireplace, television with satellite and premium channels, DVD player and VCR, CD player. Throughout the house you can connect to the high speed DSL wireless network. Outside you?ll find a barn housing cords of stacked and dried firewood, a gas grill, and a picnic table where you can dine while enjoying the mountain views.
