Immaculate, is all I have to say. This penthouse was a dream vacation, gorgeous views, huge and beautiful apartment, fabulous location. There was nothing about this apartment that I could speak badly of. The owner was very prompt and helpful with all information regarding the apartment. We got to the apartment with the keys waiting for us, no worries or concerns. The apartment was spotless and absolutely stunning.
To wake up to the sound of the ocean and eat breakfast on the L shaped balcony overlooking Luquillo Beach, and the ocean, was the most relaxing thing I have ever done. I could see the green and blue oceans of Puerto Rico from my window, with a Trade Wind breeze that constantly kept us comfortable and cool. We were steps from the beach, and with a pool, basketball courts, and tennis courts, there was always something for us to do. Although Luquillo was a little far from main cities, it was great for just a relaxing vacation, to unwind and push all your stress away.
There was a supermarket and Walgreens within two blocks of the apartment to take care of all our shopping needs. We would recommend El Sabor Mexicano, a restaurant up the street, we ate there almost every night. Also we would recommend El Flamboyan for some late night billiards and a drink or two.
Travelling is a bit of an issue if you do not have a car, so I would definitely recommend a car. We did not have one and it caused some issues. Taxis are very expensive in Puerto Rico, so we plan to rent one the next time we go down. Luquillo is minutes away from El Yunque Rainforest, which is heaven in its own world, absolutely breathtaking. We also travelled to San Juan which was about 45 minutes away to go to clubs and to the festivals which take place there.
I plan to rent this apartment again in the future because I have yet to see anything like it, modern, clean, full sized kitchen with washer and dryer, the master bedroom was very relaxing with a walk-in closet and private bathroom. There is too much to say about the apartment, if I were to recommend staying somewhere in Puerto Rico, this would hands down be the place I would pick.
