We didn’t know what to expect … we stepped out of a cab from the airport to our vacation spot. The street we stopped on was shrouded with flowers. We then walked through the cat paw covered gate into the most intriguing garden we have ever seen. Nothing was the same, yet everything was creative and magnificently done. All hand crafted and arranged by the homeowners, Leonard and Chrissie.
Our hosts greeted us warmly then gave a quick tour of their main house, pool. 'Happy Hour\ spot (named: The Jolly Sailor Tavern) – which Leonard keeps fully stocked at all times and you can visit each day at 5pm. Then on to the guesthouse …
The guesthouse was more than we expected … clean, perfectly equipped with all the amenities – and charming. (If you are a traveler and are looking for an experience outside of hotel chains, this is a spot for you).
Both Chrissie and Leonard are genuine hosts. They offer any services that you are looking for, without being intrusive. Honestly, while we were there, we felt that they were more friends than anything else. They are warm, world traveled, amazing, interesting people. We both loved coming back each day to have drinks and spend time talking with them during happy hour.
Also, the Island of Nassau offers great beaches, shopping, restaurants and nightlife.
All in all an amazing trip for those of any ages; a trip we highly, recommend – we’re looking forward to coming back again soon!
