Montepulciano holiday apartment: Montepulciano

First of all; very welcoming and helpful owners. We travelled with two children, the youngest just six months, and Magda helped us with bed, toys and other stuff which made the stay very pleasant for our baby, and made our own trip easier concerning the luggage.

The garden are beautiful with nice view to the hilltop village. Our five year old daugther found the garden and surroundings nice, and it was relaxing for the parents that there were no traffic around. As Norwegians, we find the flora and fauna quite different from our own, and that was source to much activity it self for our daughter.

The apartement is about 20 min walk/stroll from the old town wall, and we had nice walks every morning to the panetteria inside the town wall. It was a panetteria outside (just 10min walk away) as well. We also made a small walking trip the oteher direction, leading us to a fabuleous walk surrounded by wineyards and olive groves. The site of the apartement is upon a ridge which gives a splendid view not only to the town, but also to the tuscan countryside.

We travelled by car from Rome, and that made it possible to do daytrips to Siena, Montalcino, San Qurico del Orcia, Monticchiello, Cortona, Bagno Vignoni, Castiglione d' Orcia and Pienza. All of this town can be recommended. Especially the drive from St Albino (diversion opposite the the Panorama Hotel) was a wonderful (and short) trip. With children, the public bath in a hotel i Bagno Vignoni was a pleasant surprise, hot spring water made it good even in march.

The apartement itself was very suitable for us. The kitchen was well equipped, the dining area spacious, the stove cosy and the living room a necessity since our children goes to bed early. The bathroom was clean and it contained everything we needed. The bedrooms very good.

All in all: a pleasant stay in wonderful surroundings

Während unseres Urlaubs im September 2008, verbrachten wir (2 Personen) eine sehr entspannte Woche in dieser wirklich schönen Unterkunft.

Eine großräumiges Wohnzimmer mit offener Küche und Kamin bietet ausreichend Platz für 4 Personen. Alle Fotos entsprechen der Realität, das nicht dargestellte Badezimmer ist sehr sauber und besitzt sogar Tageslicht mit Fenster zum öffnen.

Ein großer Garten mit kleiner verträumter Terasse direkt vor dem Wohnungseingang bietet die Möglichkeit es sich richtig gut gehen zu lassen.

Die Wohnung ist komplett ausgestattet, der Garten hat einen kleinen Grill um sich auch draußen gemütlich zum Essen niederlassen zu können.

Zu Fuß benötigt man ca. 15 - 20 Minuten bis zum nächsten Supermarkt (Stadttor Altstadt) Parkmöglichkeiten ausreichend vorhanden

Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

We stayed at the house in March and the weather was nice even then, we sat outside and watched the sun set it was beautiful. Montepulciano is a lovely town, so much so that we decided to return six months later and get married. Magda and Hugo were fabulous hosts and also set up a cot for our son and left some toys so he could play. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to visit Tuscany. We stayed in March 07 and then when we returned in October to get married my grandmothers stayed here, we did not stay at the date given above, the calender didn't go back that far.
