Colonia de Sant Pere holiday villa

We have enjoyed a wonderful family holiday at this villa. It was perfect for four adults and four children. The rooms are clean and spacious and very comfortably furnished. The kitchen is very well equipped and the balcony is large, partly covered, great for sitting in the shade on a very hot day.The view from the balcony out across the bay to the mountains and to the busy little harbour is delightful.
The design of the pool enabled our little ones to enjoy paddling while the older children and adults swam in the deeper part of the pool. The pool furniture is comfortable and the pool was serviced twice during our two week stay.
The children also loved the playroom and the adults enjoyed the challenge of the fitness equipment.
We were given a generous welcome pack including a huge basket of oranges picked from the owners own tree.
There was an info pack left in the villa giving useful phone numbers, places to visit etc.
Communication with the owner prior to our arrival was very good. Each e mail I sent was answered very promptly and in a very friendly manner.
The beach in Colonia is tiny and the coastline quite rocky but we did visit a couple of beaches a short car ride away and we also went to Formentor beach twice, which is approximately an hours drive, the beach is beautiful and the mountain drive scenery is spectacular. We also visited the caves of Drach and the castle in Palma, both worth a visit.
The villa was so comfortable that the family were happy to be around the pool and on the balcony for a lot of our stay.
Colonia is very quiet, there are a number of restaurants along the coastal boulevard and a small supermarket which sells good fresh bread, fruit, veg and meat as well as most other supplies for self caterers like ourselves. We found a Lidl supermarket about 20 mins drive away at Carpendera, a lot cheaper than the local supermarket.
I would definitely recommend this villa to any family wanting to stay in a quiet and beautiful part of Majorca.
