This 2600 sq ft luxurious mountain townhome in Canmore, near Banff, has breathtaking views over the entire Bow Valley. With 4 levels and 5 balconies to enjoy the views, everyone has their privacy. On the sunny side of the valley, it’s a 2 min walk to hiking trails and a kid's playground, a 5 min drive to town, and a leisurely stroll through the woods to local restaurants, and a convenience store. The home offers all the modern amenities in a high quality but comfortable and tasteful style. The kitchen has granite counters and stainless appliances, the bathrooms have beautiful slate floors & tub surrounds, the extra comfy sofas are slipcovered for easy cleaning and there are real wood blinds in every room. There is also in-slab heating downstairs for extra warmth in the winter. There is a Banff Park Pass available to you, and someone who can fill you in on special hikes and things to do. The Canmore Rec. Centre has 2 hockey rinks, 25-metre salt water swimming pool, weight room and a gymnastics centre. Next door is the Canmore Golf and Curling Club, with four sheets of ice and an 18-hole golf course. In the winter, over 70 km of trails are groomed for classic and skate-style cross-country at the Canmore Nordic Centre. There is also a biathlon range, a lit trail for night skiing, and a training centre for the Canadian National Ski Team. In summer, the ski trails are used for mountain biking and hiking. Also in the area are tennis courts, horseback riding stables, white water and float river rafting facilities (Class 1-1V+), heli-sightseeing, playgrounds, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, a skateboard park, rock or ice climbing, cave tours, private health clubs & spas, yoga studios, karate & tai chi studios, a running track, picnic areas, fishing spots, dog-sledding facilities, sleigh rides, hot springs open all year, and several incredible world class golf courses.

Additional information about rental rates

  • You may put down the $400 deposit to hold your reservation by credit card or paypal IMMEDIATELY on our website ( on the 'rates' page) with the web link provided under 'further details' below. This will ensure your dates are held. We update our availability calender at least once a day.
  • The balance must be received 45 days prior to arrival ( Check or money order are preferred but credit card payment can be arranged for the credit card service fee).
    The $1000 security deposit is paid by credit card & refunded to your card in the week after departure assuming there are no damages or losses to WoodsEdge.
    If canceling outside 60 days, all monies will be refunded.
    If canceling inside 60 days, all monies will be refunded, minus the $400 deposit.
    If canceling inside 30 days, then the $1000 security deposit will be refunded along with 50% of rental fee.
    If canceling inside 15 days, then only the $1000 security deposit will be refunded unless we can rent to somebody else.

    **Rental policies are in accordance with the Town of Canmore by-laws.

We live in Florida, and have never seen scenery like this...Wow!! The views from the house are incredible. WoodsEdge is so beautiful and exactly like the description. You must get Margaret to suggest some hikes...she's done 40 this year and is a real expert on things to do in the area for all ages and activity levels. All that, plus she's such a nice lady. The fridge was stocked with milk, juice and eggs when we arrived....very considerate after our long journey. WoodsEdge is highly reccomended by us!!

We just returned home from spending a week at this beautiful home. It was absolutely a perfect location for our ski days to Sunshine, Norquay, Lake Louise and even Kicking Horse. The layout of the home provided privacy for sleeping arrangements and a great central living room, kitchen, dining room set up for all of us to comfortably enjoy.

As mentioned in a previous comment, our only complaint as well was that we had to leave!

We were completely blown away by this home! With the panoramic views, perfectly cleaned, ample space, luxurious towels and linens. No details were missed. It had everything we needed to make our 2 families feel at home. The older children appreciated having their own 'private' floor. The extra baby supplies were greatly appreciated and in very good condition. We spent our days enjoying the sights of Canmore, Banff and Lake Louise, the complementary park pass was most helpful. The children enjoyed easy hikes (we would recommend Johnston Canyon for kids), picnics, playing at the nearby park and fishing in the Bow. Upon our arrival we were surprised to see the complimentary bread, milk, juice and eggs in the fridge, very thoughtful, after a long day of driving. Since the kitchen was so fabulous we spent nearly every evening eating in. We would certainly come back again. Thank you for sharing your magnificent home with us. Our only complaint was that we had to leave!

This vacation rental is awesome. Is everything that you expected and more!!! The house is very cozy and confortable. It has amazing views from every room. Besides, the Banff annual pass saves you tons of money :)
